According to the System Requirements the 8800 is the minimum it supports. :v:

Runs really well on my GTX 550
Well, I think that it should run at like at least 30FPS stable. Cause I know some people with 8800GT that run it quite well. I do get like 30+ FPS most of the time but for some weird reason it dips to like 22-23 in certain moments when I look at some part.(and for example, the part doesn't have anything demanding displayed on it, I get 30FPS looking at a camp full of soldiers.) Oh well. I'll endure I guess. Time to save up cash for a new card.

I guess I should improve my basic reading skills
Many thanks
Got to the Flotsum. Loving every minute of it so far. My only complaints are the new voice acting for Kingslayer/elf dude, and that Geralt walks slower then everyone else.
Also, where would I find my Amazon pre-order DLC code?
Holy crap this game is better than the first so far. Beginning is a bit shaky with difficulty but once you get your free lessons in how to die from the enemy it gets really good.
What the fuck, Letterbox? Really?!
God I *HATE* That bullshit. It drives me crazy, I couldn't even complete AC2 on the PC because of it
Aside from that the game looks fucking amazing though
Pretty fun game so far, really difficult though. Takes alot of skill to take on alot of enemies. I'm in Flotsum and it's getting pretty interesting.
Wish it was a little more open though
I'm getting my ass kicked in the temple courtyard. I once managed to kill everyone but the armoured knight and when I killed him he had managed a final blow that had bleed damage and it killed me.
:suicide:
I was just running circles around him and using bombs with igni.
[sp]Are you suppose to lose your witcher silver sword after escaping from that dungeon?[/sp]
[sp]Yes. Didn't you see him lose it when he stuck it in the dragon's mouth?[/sp]
Ugh this game is so damn hard, I just don't see how you can logically kill multiple enemies attacking you. Like do you get crazy spells later or maneuvers?

Try not to get surrounded and kill them 1 by 1. Use bombs, rolls and signs.
Is anyone else on Steam not seeing their CD key for activation?
Edit - Wouldn't show up even as running as an admin until the third time, odd.
this
is
AMAZING
though I do admit, without having played the first Witcher it's a little hard to grasp, but it's an enticing experience nevertheless

Fight dirty, use your bombs, traps, signs and other items. The trap sign is great at splitting up groups, and the stun bomb can give you a couple of free hits. The key to success is to not save your items. Potions are essential, even on normal, so don't hoard you get enough alchemy ingredients anyway.

So then you can't watch most movies since there are a great many that are not shot in 16:9 or 16:10 aspect ratios and thus have black bars on screens with said ratios?
Unless that is of course you have a screen with every used aspect ratio and the original film's to avoid black bars. Plus it'll be patched in a number of days.
[sp] Yes. Didn't you see him lose it when he stuck it in the dragon's mouth? [/sp]
I haven't played it yet but there are multiple openings, yes? He might've played a different one than you that does not explain it.

Got a new TV and Blu-Ray player, I don't have that problem anymore since I'll only knab movies that don't have it. And I used my old DvD player's zoom feature to zoom in but still retain most of the image, to get rid of as much of that as possible. Besides, that Letterbox will eventually cause a burn in on some TV's. Can't stand it. As far as games go, I can't remember any games that have Letterbox on them, that I've played, other than Assassin's Creed, and I'd prefer not to have it. Utilize my whole monitor, damn game!
By the way, I thought Blu-Ray wouldn't be noticeably different than DvD's, but I was fucking wrong as shit, it looks amazing

Yes. This. Try playing Demon's Souls on PS3 on a shitty 17 inch monitor that I use for PC, then try again on a 42 inch TV. I actually got a boner when the game loaded up

Has nothing to do with it being on BluRay. If the TV and the monitor are the same resolution it should technically look worse on the TV (less DPI) I think
By the way, I thought Blu-Ray wouldn't be noticeably different than DvD's, but I was fucking wrong as shit, it looks amazing
Depends on the shot / transfer / movie. Shit like the IMax shots in the Dark Knight are most certainly amazing. But save that for the BluRay thread discussion.
I wouldn't worry about screen burn in though unless you're using a really shitty plasma and are watching tons of movies with bars.
This game is fucking gorgeous, I had to sit there and admire it as I walked out of that tent for the first time.
Holy hell.

Exactly why I steered away from the Plasma.... I heard they're just in general more problematic, so I went with an LED LCD Samsung, but on topic... Letterbox, I just dislike it, especially in games
I beat it. Later on the whole storyline gets to be a mess but overall it was a enjoyable experience. Ridiculously hard at some points where I had to tone down the difficulty to easy from normal. There is no continuation of you pre-existing character which sucks though.

Wait what? How long was it?
Also if you want continuation of anything play the first, import the save into the second. Doesn't help stats but it imports choices like Mass Effect

Holy shit he killed Altair.
edit: Just noticed the sidebar, of which browser were using. Interesting.
Does anyone know how to completely turn shadows off in this? I've tried editing the graphics presets, but they don't seem to make a difference, so I'm probably doing it wrong.
The best rpg ever made.

Could be. I'm in love.
