they're meant to disappear and reappear. they're ghosts lol.
[editline]26th May 2011[/editline]
unless you didn't actually see the effect of them turning into ashes to disappear
No I'm talking about how there is a huge battle with people fighting all over and your inside that ring protecting that person.
Everyone fighting outside said ring was disappearing etc....replay it and take a look.
but they're meant to, aren't they?
you see them fighting when they are away from the ring, but if you get too close to them they disappear, right? i thought that was supposed to happen.
[editline]26th May 2011[/editline]
also when is the patch coming out?

they're meant to, the majority of them are reenacting the battle but a small percentage are after your blood

2 runes here, but it's still the best without them.
The best one for me is the Forgotten Vran Sword.
I miss the music in Flotsam....

Welp, not quickly enough - there's an issue with their server, something to do with the dlc or sth.
Welp, not quickly enough - there's an issue with their server, something to do with the dlc or sth.
They had server issues 50 times so far, since day 1. I wonder if they even have IT technicians.
What's the best sword you've found so far?
I've crafted some kind of steel sword in Act 1 that does almost 30-48 damage, with two rune slots and such. Pretty damn nice considering all the other weapons in the area do 10-15
What I am near the end of act 2 and my best swords only do 30+ ish damage what dwarf did you suck off to get those weapons.

Are you skipping all dialogues?
Triss looks like a whore in first Witcher
She looked older and was more "bitchy". I liked her that way, I had sweet little girl in Shani. Now they removed Shani and made Triss some young nice m'lady. Not cool.
I used the rear entry, twice, during the public bath.. :smug:
feels like im playing interactive porn..
That Queen Eregaurd or what have you came out of no where, said Hey What's Up? And one hit me back to my most recent save...
Damn, man
Can I jump into the second game and still understand the story?
Does the track "The Path of a Kingslayer" give anyone else a slight Battlestar Galactica vibe?
I'm starting the second chapter and it seems like it's not really difficult anymore
In terms of the beginning of chapter 2 [sp]did anyone else notice when fighting through the battle that the people fighting kept disappearing and reappearing? Very shitty bug or glitch[/sp]
also you're dumb
I found some silver sword from Loc Muinne ruins, it had like 50-60 damage. Also there was this puzzle to solve before you could open chest containing sword.
I miss the music in Flotsam....
Best music in the game, but the music in Chapter 3 is pretty good too.
Anyone else getting a 9gb patch? That doesn't seem right..
I got the patch
it was like, only 16 MB.
Anyone else getting a 9gb patch? That doesn't seem right..
hell yes, finally my 20Mb connection will be used for something other than torrenting porn
are you using the steam version, I remember ArmA 2 had issues with steam where it didn't patch the files but instead redownloaded them, which was basically the whole game
Still just getting a connection error
Silly me expecting an autopatch still
15 meg patch, didn't improve my performance like I was hoping
There's a data archive that's over 9 gigs, and since Steam doesn't know how to patch stuff inside these files, it re-downloads the whole file.
It's the same problem with many other games that have massive files like these.
also you're dumb
The hell how am I dumb? When the owl is creating the circle to protect you there are hundreds of people fighting outside of that circle. It was clear that there was apparently an army around the area and they were all fighting. It didn't seem like they were not ghosts, just soldiers fighting shit and they would keep disappearing and reappearing like a glitch, and it was also based off of the camera angle.
I know there were ghosts that did that normally inside the ring. I'm talking about EVERYTHING happening outside of the ring.
EDIT:
also your an asshole
Have you been paying ANY attention to the story and what's going on in the game? Seems like not.
There is no battle going on in that field at the moment, they are all ghosts reenacting the battle that took place on the field before.
Does anyone know how to aim the ballista properly in the prologue? There doesn't seem to be any logic to what I'm doing with the spyglass and what Geralt says

They were ghosts, they dissipate when the living come near them. There's literally a dialogue option regarding that a little later in the game.

if you had paid any attention it would be pretty obvious they were ghosts, and the fact they all disappeared in a cloud of black dust is pretty fucking obvious

I missed and the game just carried on as normal
Yeah, but you get an achievement if you hit with it.

let's put it this way:
the game simply can not handle having hundreds and hundreds of soldiers fighting on screen. not because your shitty computer can't handle it, but because it would be so clearly obvious that you would have to wriggle and worm your way around to get around them.
the game compensates by only having maybe two dozen or so fighting on screen at once in the immediate area so you can see ahead and not wriggle your brows trying to figure out where you're headed
it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out
also your computer would probably be too shitty to render all of them duking it out at the same time
