I agree it's strange, but anything with boobs is good in my book. It's one of the few minigames i've ever bothered doing in any game i can think of right now. Other developers could learn alot from CD Projekt. Everyone so worried about their ratings... Do what is right for the game, don't limit yourself. Sex cards were not really "right", but i admire them for their courage.
Well judging by some of the stuff we've seen, they're not cutting back on nudity this time around.
Reading up on the first game in case I get the second, but what is the cannon ending to the first? (ie which side the the main character take)
[sp]Well I guess it would be the 'Neutral' ending. Witchers are the definition of true neutral.[/sp] [sp]As far as the Alvin choice goes, I suppose the 'cannon' ending would be giving him to Triss. Which is no bueno because Shani was a much more interesting character imo.[/sp]

And it's "canon" ending, not "cannon" for god's sake. It's like every game includes cannons.

after lookin at a bit of gameplay, i decided to buy witcher 2! :buddy:
i was talking about idiocy like dragon age 2
And yet you used similarly retarded games as examples of the opposite of "retard tap button shit".
And yet you used similarly retarded games as examples of the opposite of "retard tap button shit".
Games like that seem right in the middle. Stuff in the game is complicated, but it's simple enough to pick up on the go and play
play the game [editline]13th May 2011[/editline] holy uncensored spoilers batman
As far as I know the second doesn't import your save from the first Mass Effect style? And holy quoted uncensored spoilers batman
And it's "canon" ending, not "cannon" for god's sake. It's like every game includes cannons.
Sooooo sorry. I'll just go drag my balls through some hot sand in the dessert as punishment.
Stuff in the game is complicated, but it's simple enough to pick up on the go and play
What Oblivion/Fallout 3/Fable did you play? I remember the simple to pick up on the go thing, but I certainly don't remember it ever advancing past that.
What Oblivion/Fallout 3/Fable did you play? Not to mention the massive amounts of mods that improve on the game itself. i don't like rpgs though that make you manage 5 party members that have 15 diffrent mood/stat bars at the same time while theres batshit insane amounts of difficulty just making/finding one little insignificant thing

Not to mention the massive amounts of mods that improve on the game itself.
Did you ever use any of what you mentioned past the first few times? Honestly I'd be surprised if you found a real use for it, Alchemy in Oblivion was the most useless thing, you get flooded with so much gold and traders never seem to run out of anything so you can always just stock up on magicka/health regen potions than you could possibly carry and still have enough gold left to flood an entire city to the brim with watermelons. Honestly it got to the point where I was just sneaking into people's houses stealing all of their cheese and bread just so I could spam potion making to level up my alchemy so I could level up. [sp]That was before I realised level scaling broke the game.[/sp] Modders solved a lot of the issues, but their changes mainly just turned it into more of a functional adventure exploration game than into more of an RPG. Fallout 3, you make a Deathclaw Gauntlet and a Tranq Gun and maybe a Bottlecap mine and then you never use it again, if you did, you really were just larping. New Vegas solved a lot of the issues 3 had and turned into more of an RPG, but it was still pretty popamole. Not even gonna mention Fable, it's the literal definition of retard mash button shit. There is a real difference between a game "having" a feature, and a game integrating a feature. Now I could go on to explain how those features you mentioned aren't even RPG elements, but features that work well in conjunction with RPG elements, but this post is already pretty long winded and I want to go play some World of Tanks.
i don't like rpgs though that make you manage 5 party members that have 15 diffrent mood/stat bars at the same time while theres batshit insane amounts of difficulty just making/finding one little insignificant thing
Name a few RPGs that do this. Just seems to me like you like games that remove the element of thought by process of introducing elements that eliminate any form of adversity.
I thought this thread was about The Witcher, not Fallout or Oblivion. [editline]13th May 2011[/editline] Also the devs said that they are going to release a The Witcher 1 save game editor, so you can make all the important choices without playing the first one.
Just seems to me like you like games that remove the element of thought by process of introducing elements that eliminate any form of adversity.
I just prefer games that are fun that doesn't take half of the game to get to the fun part while still being challenging.
I just prefer games that are fun that doesn't take half of the game to get to the fun part while still being challenging.
You say you enjoy challenging games, yet the games you listed are not challenging in any aspect of the word. I don't think you actually enjoy RPGs, I think you enjoy the non-RPG elements you happen to have encountered in some admittedly quite poor RPGs, which is fine, but to make the statement, "I enjoy RPGs" and then list games that are commonly thought of as poor examples of RPGs, makes it look like you're contradicting yourself.

Those games were fun so i consider myself to like rpg games.
This game could use a little more rolling and sword spinning
the crafting system in new vegas was actually really useful
Probably should have clarified that one of the things New Vegas fixed was the crafting system, though I didn't find myself needing to use it and I wasted ammo and shit like a motherfucker.
The Witcher 1 (not 2, whoops) was extremely flawed in oh so many ways but still fantastic, like most European RPGs. Although that makes the sequel seem more exciting because they seem to know what they screwed up on.
Also do you classify Valkriya Chronicles as a good rpg? because i loved that shit also can't wait for this game, A Polish Article leaked out and it gave witcher a 9.5 out of 10 with the only cons being stealth missions and the ending
Brand new trailer on GT http://www.gametrailers.com/video/exclusive-hope-the-witcher/713859 There's also a message from CD at the end for a split second.
The other two trailers are on G4TV and Ign.com
The other two trailers are on G4TV and Ign.com
The IGN one is Love & Blood (http://www.ign.com/videos/2011/05/13/the-witcher-2-launch-trailer?objectid=14345201) while the G4TV one, How To Kill a Witcher, is just a combat trailer (http://www.g4tv.com/videos/52929/the-witcher-2-how-to-kill-a-witcher-trailer/?quality=hd)
Ok I need to stop coming here now and just wait till Tuesday I'm more hyped for this game than anything else so far need to calm down the first was so close to the line of genius I am sure this will make it no punctuation
'please don't pirate the game' Aw they are so sweet, they just ask nicely! :) I will gladly buy the game!
So all the DLC released for the game will be free. Good fucking deal.
I just beat the first Witcher after a marathon of playing it for 3 days. Being sick paid off. Man what a game! I loved every minute of it. I am very excited to start the 2nd next week.
