I can't figure out this weird problem. In Chapter 2, Roche's Path outside the army camp, I stand at the edge of that grassy area(where that destroyed wagon with Rotfiends and dead soldiers is) and I get 34-35 FPS. I walk forward, entering grass without moving the camera, FPS dips to like 22. I walk back out in reverse to the edge, FPS goes back to 35. What the fuck.
Both 2 3 4 5 6 and 1 2 3 4 5 should work, according to the manual anyway. Also that's called a straight, not full house.
Full house, four of a kind and five of a kind are better than a straight, so maybe he just had a better roll than you.
I'm terrible at poker. :frown: Have a blue coin, mister.

The mist gets visible I guess.
Does anyone know of the song in the launch trailer?
Yrden is your friend on that fight. Only other sign would be Quen on the arrows.
I got to him at 2:00am (tired) and he trapped me and killed me in two hits. I started over and I HATE fighting without being able to roll -- UGH! Will try again ASAP.
Other than that, this is the best game I have played in years... bar none.

"What did I ever do to the ploughing witchers?!"
Finally completed the game, it was great though the ending was a little unsatisfying. I guess the business with the wild hunt and the emperor of nilfgaard will be settled in The Witcher 3, which seems better than cramming it into this one. Hopefully your choices in this game will have a noticeable impact in that game. I have to say, this is one of the best sequels I have ever played, it manages to get story arcs from a game with no obvious sequel hooks better than Crysis 2 (I know crysis' ending was one big sequel hook but they basically rewrote all the fiction when they realized it was gonna be on consoles) and manages to actually progress them better than Mass Effect 2, which for all intents and purposes (apart from the characters you meet, obviously) progresses the story arcs only slightly. The villain even flat out says that you've changed nothing at the end of the game. So this was an incredibly well executed sequel on all counts.

I don't think 1 2 3 4 5 works either... I got one in Vergen and I still lost (the other guy had a shitty roll in comparison)
When do we come across this boss?

I am very close to finishing act 2 and have yet to see it.
Could be on the 'Other' Act 2.
I love it how everyone wants to plough the crap out of Saskia. :v:
i kinda thought the game would be longer than chapter 3. maybe i just wanted the game to last longer because it was so great.
also what happens if you don't kill [sp]letho or that sorceress controlling the dragon (forgot her name)?[/sp]
i was disappointed that you didn't actually get to [sp]meet yennefer or see the wild hunt.[/sp] I'm guessing that's what the third game will be about.
I made a Robust Red Meteorite Silver Sword in that military camp, and just found a silver "Blood Sword", with better damage and whatnot. This is why I barely upgrading my weapons and armor.
Incidentally, anyone know where to find runes, like Fire and Moon, guaranteed? I'm in Act 2 - Roche if it matters.
Same for me, only I crafted the yellow one.
Runes are sold by mysterious merchant near the brothel.
Which would you guys consider?
[release]
Robust Steel Sword of Dol Blathanna
30-36 damage
Bleeding +8%
Some other shit +6%
(One slot, which has a Ygsith rune in it)
[/release]
Or
[release]
Sword of the Dun Banner
28-33
Damage reduction on block +10/20%
Knockback +10%
(Three slots, nothing in it)
[/release]
Dun Banner one. Rune it and it will have more damage than Dol Blathanna
Is it worth playing the first Witcher before I play 2? Will it affect my playthrough and how I enjoy it?
You really only need to know the story for the first one. I'm sure you can read a good summary of it online. The first game is still pretty fun though.

It is hard to recommend the first game but if you are willing to persevere the insights into the world and the story are worth it and you may not mind a lot of the problems people have with it I know I didn't but I know a lot of people who just couldn't get into it
Quick question - when do you get to fight [sp]Draug[/sp]? Is it in the end of 2nd chapter? I so want that [sp]Draug[/sp] armor.

It's like 3/4 the way through chapter 2.
How do I get past the [sp]necromancy[/sp] part. Even after I follow in the dudes footsteps exactly, i still get warped out.

[sp]Look at the ground, there is traps, stay clear of them. The detection is not top notch so sometimes you get "trapped" even if you don't touch it.[/sp]
Is there a way to speed up the day-night transition?

Meditate.
I fucking love using the Axii sign hex all the time. Feels badass.

You'll understand the story better but very few choices from TW1 affect TW2. Hopefully some of the TW1 choices will have a greater effect in the Witcher 3. While I didn't romance Shani I can understand how its frustrating for those who did since she's completely written out of this game.

[sp]I can't quite recall but I believe she bit the dust near the end of Witcher 1. Which sucked since Alvin had decided to piss his pants and teleport away, so I lost two people.[/sp]

Argh that ploughing fight with the Kayran took me so long
There's no indication of what you have to do at all
