CD Projekt RED are, like, easily the best developers of all time. The engine of Witcher 2 alone just proves it to be true and the art direction is surreal.

just proves even more that our western developers are the biggest sellouts of all time and all good games are expected to come from the east.

Just got this game and right off the bat it feels too hard.
So far what I've noticed is that the WASD movement seems really clunky, sometimes when I guard it won't guard(I guess theres a system for that), the helpful tooltips go by too quickly so I don't know what to do, and switching weapons sometimes completely stops my character.
I finally got through the prolouge part with the dragon and was frusterated even more when I went inside the sewers. I found the place of power or whatever and activated it but I didn't know what the tooltip meant by "use the place of power to access it"(or something like that). Instantly a monster thing came up to me, and when I tried to switch from my longsword to silver sword, The Witcher literally paused and did nothing as the monster attacked me until I died.
I find Witcher 2 to be a great game, but I just don't understand all this dick sucking.

I'm quite annoyed so far at how people kept telling me how the witcher 2 is one of the best games of our time, and then when I finally fork out the $50 I end up being frusterated and disappointed.

the update seems to have broken the movement from what I've noticed. at some points I can't even put my sword away/draw my other weapon because Geralt gets locked up in to some combat stance.
your vigor bar (the two golden bits under your health bar) is drained when you successfully block. At the prologue of the game you can only use either two signs/magic spells or use the vigor for blocking. You pretty much have to use the Quen sign throughout the prologue just to survive because otherwise you will die so easily.
another thing I suggest is to just play the game on easy. it makes the game exactly that but it's either you play on easy and get, like, zero damage on you or play on medium and die in a handful of hits. The difference in difficulty is ridiculous.
also, dodging, rolling and backstabbing are your best friend. so is aard. aard stunns enemies and if they have white circles that spin around their head then you can do a critical hit attack on them and waste their ass with a nifty cutscene. it's a rare chance but it's a great way of dispatching single targets. plus aard is just great for stunning and knocking people away in general.

i only suck its dick because i haven't played a game that hasn't blown asshole/hasn't gotten boring after ten minutes in over a year and i'm tired of wasting sixty dollars on titles that blow peters

I can't believe I'm defending valve. Sure they charge for their stupid hats but when do you actually have to pay for them to play the game? That, and you second point was that "all good games will come from the east" First of all, final fantasy. Second of all, that doesn't correlate with the first part of the argument. Companies can charge for dlc, but their games can still be good. Paying for additional stuff, while annoying =/= bad game. That can count for frustrating business practices, but that doesn't reflect on the game itself since it can be a good game without the dlc.

I didn't even talk about the game, I was talking about your post. If you read the next thing I wrote about how I found the Witcher 2 to be a good game. Its the most fun I've had in a sp game in a long time. It has great graphical fidelity, good pacing, and a genuinely interesting plot. Where did you even get that argument from?

Lets look at your post. First, you write "our western developers". You do not specify, "most" or "some". I wouldn't be typing right now if you did because, many developers are charging too much for extra content.
Then you use "all good games are expected to come from the east". Aside from the dumb semantic argument, I disagree with this point because if you're talking about Eastern Europe, how many games have come out of there? The Stalkers, Metro series, and this? The games are good, granted, but you can't just say "all good games are going to come from there. I mean Portal 2 was fantastic, while the price:playing time ratio wasn't all too great it had the same positives as the witcher 2 had, meaning good story and graphics. RDR was great as it showed the journey of one man for redemption, and allowed you to bond with the main character. I can't say anything about this coming year's lineup such as Skyrim, BF3, SR3, UC3, ME3 but they have fantastic pedigrees and I doubt they'll disappoint.
This isn't some debate on western superiority as well as not an attack on you personally, I just dislike those sort of broad statements. Especially when there are indeed many games coming out this year and further on from various Western studios that show great promise.

A lot of her speech has no relation to porn or anything at all and is more oriented towards the lore/helping Geralt/talking to other characters and a lot of it is acceptable and okay but when there's moments that just need to have a little bit of drama added to them it's just SO DULL

DotA 2 is by far the worst thing they could've done. And Portal 2 (for consoles) filled up the used games shelf in a week (hence why it was on sale when it was released for $20 everywhere).
