Yes, it's a laptop GPU, so the game can't detect the best settings. The GTX 460M is approximately of slightly less performance of a desktop GTS 450, but it has 1.5 GB VRAM.

Also, finished it yesterday. While it was goddamn amazing as a whole, it wasn't without flaws and ending just felt quite a huge letdown. Its like they ran out time/money and had to wrap this shit up as quickly as possible. Act 2 was building up for something huge and amazing and then it kinda vanished in last act.
I am on the beginning of the second act and I dunno...feel like the change was too abrupt...right when I was beginning to really feel at home in Flotsam.
First time I have ever felt this way.

I can run it high at 1024 X 786 with lower specs than those, so you should be able to run it high no problems at higher resolutions, just turn off ubersampling and ambient occlusion. And maybe motion blur.

I think Iorveth's path is way better than Roche's. Vergen is better than Henselt's military camp.
Also you get to know more interesting characters around Vergen, yet to fully understand the story it's good to pick the other path on a second playthrough.

I have to agree, the city in the last act was kinda empty and it sucks that the best items are located about one hour away from the end of the game, time wise.
I still like the game, but things like that better get sorted with a patch soon.
I thought the ending was fine even though Loc Muinne is the least interesting place. The thing I wonder about is all those HUGE decisions you make.. and I hope we don't have to wait another 4 years to see how all those decisions play out...
Did anyone else just not bother using potion in the game? I played on normal and I only drank one potion at the start of the game and realised how useless they are because of the negative effects they gave you. I take it they're more useful on harder difficulties, but they are mostly useless on normal and easy.
If the potions didn't have such major negative effects then they would probably be useful, but the battling in the game gets easy at the end of Flotsam so there's no need for them anyway.

I only used this potion that makes you see like a cat. I don't even know if there are torches in w2 so the potion was the most logical choice. Not being able to drink in combat makes the whole system feel pointless. In w1 I would have died without drinking them.
Finished the game a second time, [sp]went with Iorveth, let Sile die, saved Saskia (and broke the spell, she still didn't reward me properly but whatever, she is the only one with honour and morals in the entire game) and did not fight Letho.[/sp]
Have to say this path was way more interesting than the other. You also get to influence things a lot more, or at least that's what I felt like ([sp]helping Saskia (whatever her city's name is) win the battle, and then saving her giving the north the leader they will need against Nilfgaard (not to mention you also learn the truth behind the dragon, which was a pretty big question), actually getting to kill (well more or less) Detmold without having to lose Triss, Philippa getting her eyes pulled out and so on[/sp]).
The expansion better [sp]either deal with Geralt finding Yennefer, or the Nilfgaardian invasion, or preferably both. I also better get some rewards (or punishments) for the endgame choices, maybe Letho helping me out sometime or having the extreme luck of a black dragon happening to pass by and incinerating some assholes that were giving me trouble?[/sp]
Where do I go to find Philippa in Loc Muine? I've been everywhere but all the doors are locked.
Finally got around to buying this game and holy shit is it infuriating.
It's still pretty fun though.

Yeah, let them hit you a few times (be sure to save first, I don't know if you can get arrested by all guards or just a certain type of them).

I accidentally rushed through the last act. I was like, ok, lets do some story related things and then, when it slows down ill do some sidequests. The joke was on me.

Anyone know of the save import differences? If there are any that is. The armor and weapon bonuses were obvious and very welcome, but I was always curious if there was extra dialogue if I imported a save where I was on good terms with Triss.

one reason why preordering is the biggest bullshit ever. so far every customer has the game drm free thanks to the patches and the dlcs were served to everyone like a cherry on a vanilla cream cake.

Is anyone here using an Nvidia geforce GTX 295 because I got one for free as it was an upgrade but for some reason It can't run the witcher 2, not even on minimum very well. Keeps making a gfx card glitchy noise like 'kzzt'
