The quest is called "The Crown Witness". It's started by talking to Raymond, which I'm pretty sure you've done by now...? Personally I liked the investigation. It was not fun getting stuck nor running around back and forth, but the game's writing made the investigation feel really mysterious and believable to me. One could argue that its unnecessarily complex but I enjoyed it, it felt very meaningful to the story.
I don't think i've got the Crown Witness in my journal; who must I talk to to get it? Someone in the hospital? Also where can I fight Alghouls; I require their marrow.
You need to get into the cemetery. Talk to the gravedigger.
Yes, i've been talking to the gravedigger in an attempt to get in, but to no avail. I assume I need to give him something first, since he has the "gift" icon in his chat bar, but I doubt I have the right item yet, even though i've completed the dog-slaying quest whereby I needed to give him several pots of dog tallow. I assume he wants alcohol or something, though he doesn't accept wines.
Then I'd say it's pretty clear you have some exclamation points in your quest tab you haven't bothered to read, or you need to turn on subtitles in the future.

I'm sure i've checked my quests, I always have subtitles on, and I talked to Raymond who gave me the guys to investigate. Are there character bios for the gravedigger that suggest what I might need to give him?
The more I replay The Witcher 2 the more I can't decide which paths in it I like the most. [sp]Keeping Aryan alive seems to be reasonable and something Geralt would do. Then there is the toughest decision in the game. Side with Iorveth or Roche. With each of them you become bros if you join their side (Roche wins here, because even if you help Iorveth, he still helps and saves your life later on). Sadly, both of them are super racist, but with Iorveth you have chance to fight for equal society and free a dragon from spell. No matter who you follow you'll be given choice to save or let die a person of royal blood (Stennis or Henselt). Here I always wanted to kill them but the consequences seem too big (North would be in chaos and Nilfgaard is coming). I do have save where Stennis and Henselt are dead and I can't wait to see the impact of that. When it comes to saving Triss or finishing Iorveth's/Roche's quests I always feel bad about it but I pick the latter. Gives me more reasons to let Letho go (he saves and protects Triss). He isn't a good witcher but I think Geralt would let him go. Lastly, I need to mention the different quests for each path. Both have cool things to offer but I find Roche's to put you in some interesting situations. Iorveth on the other hand let's you enjoy some funny easter eggs and you can screw few more pussies on the way.[/sp]
Turns out I already completed the [sp]Crown Witness[/sp] some time back; but I haven't been able to talk to Raymond about the autopsy yet for some reason.
Back during the Christmas sale, I bought The Witcher: Enhanced Edition. Should I finally get around to playing it sometime?
Turns out I already completed the [sp]Crown Witness[/sp] some time back; but I haven't been able to talk to Raymond about the autopsy yet for some reason.
You'll have to wait til you get in to the crypt then, for certain things to be resolved, and some choices will be made for you by folks you never talked to.
Never mind; I managed to discover that [sp]Azar killed the dude by mixing fly eggs into the fisstech[/sp], and now i'm at [sp]Shani's party, waiting for Dandelion to sing, but he somehow ain't singing yet; he's strumming his lute but isn't singing the song.[/sp] I assume I after [sp]the party[/sp] need to get the permit from one of the guards (or Thaler).
You need to talk to Thaler, yes.
BAM. Check your Steam, gentlemen. Eight (sometimes eleven) gig update in place for Witcher 2. I hope this is the newest Enhanced Edition content that's supposed to come bundled with the Xbox edition. PUMPED [editline]3rd April 2012[/editline] The update could also be just a pre-load for the 17th when the 360 version comes out, but I'm not really sure yet. The update process literally just started like an hour ago and nobody, even on the Steam forums is really sure what's going on with it. It's supposed to give a new introduction to introduce Letho a little bit more so you'd think that would be a dead giveaway if the update is operational.
Holy shit @ that video

Was that guy being lifted up impaled through his ass?
the gigantic update is probably the preload for the update to enhanced edition when it releases on the 17th.
time to dust of my LE case and install this badboy again
I am so insanely excited to start a new playthrough of the enhanced edition, I don't think I can name an RPG I have enjoyed as much as the Witcher 2.
I am so insanely excited to start a new playthrough of the enhanced edition, I don't think I can name an RPG I have enjoyed as much as the Witcher 2.
TW2 is in my top 5 RPG games
I am so insanely excited to start a new playthrough of the enhanced edition, I don't think I can name an RPG I have enjoyed as much as the Witcher 2.
TW2 is amongst the games I have enjoyed the most. Surely in the top 10. And I've played a lot of games. Too many.
yeah. amen. i hate fantasy style stuff with a boiling passion but the world of witcher is so ultimately fascinating. i think it's because of how gritty and medieval it is (for example, king foltest banging his sister and her birthing a striga and geralt getting hired in to lift the curse so foltest can have a heir) as opposed to those other games. like KINGDOMS OF AMULAR cd projekt are best devs all years [editline]3rd April 2012[/editline]
I am so insanely excited to start a new playthrough of the enhanced edition, I don't think I can name an RPG I have enjoyed as much as the Witcher 2.
Two weeks should be enough time to play through TW1 again so we can have a save game ready to carry over to the new TW2 update. aww yeah.
Your a Genius. Re-installing
So tomorrow we get the EE update. I can't wait to see what they added in the Chapter 3 because that seems to be the main focus.
It's tonight. At like 00:01 CEST. Which is like 6PM EDT.
Also is it logical to expect Steam will update the game automatically or do I have to download it separately? I noticed you can pre-load the update from the official site but I thought Steam will do that for me when it's released.
All the previous updates to the Steam version have been carried out over Steam as far as I know. To my knowledge you couldn't update the Steam version manually even if you wanted to. The downloadable packages are for people who bought the non-digital editions in retail or at Amazon etc.
What update are you guys even talking about? I have the Steam version I haven't gotten a update.
The preload files will work for any version other than Steam I believe. No confirmation if it'd work for Steam version too. It's 11.9 gigs in total. [t]http://localhostr.com/file/uUnS1Nv/Untitled.png[/t]
I wonder how they tweaked the combat. I only really had problems with [sp]Letho[/sp] in the first chapter. After that I didn't encounter a fight that was too hard.
