witcher 1 is full of repetitive, lame-o stuff. witcher 2 is full of cinematic greatness like metal gear that always keeps you on edge and that's what really makes it stand out. just like the original dragon age game. plus you've got to be tactical about your engagements because you're fighting solo and you're just as easy to kill as the people you're fighting (at least in dark mode) so it becomes amazingly challenging and fantastic to play. it's a great mix of everything and I only wish that CD Projekt would keep pumping out more sequels because i'm PUMPED for a third game.

Couldn't fucking complete the witcher 1, felt boring, the witcher 2 was better. Completed it once, but second playthough fucked up some quests. Might re-install and download enhanced edition. Fun.

So I'm trying to install the new patch again. I'm getting this error at the beginning saying pack0.dzip is corrupted. Anyone else getting this?

Holy shit, it's lke they are forcing me to replay the game again. The Witcher 2 reinstalls itself every time I launch Steam, even though I deleted the .blob file, checked the cache, deleted the game files both ways, etc. I would replay if I didn't have this shitty CPU, it just overheats every time. The game is fine as long as you're playing for about an hour, otherwise it fucking reboots the PC and you have to redo everything from the last save. It was still fun to play on the lowest settings, some Gothic 3-level graphics here.

Having some nasty save issues with my EE. Only one in every 3 or 4 saves is registering and as I want to play on Dark, this is troublesome to say the least. PC version.

I guess it's too soon but how does the EE feel? Did they improve the graphics in some way? I heard they might have changed the lighting and blur. And anything gameplay-wise worth mentioning?

Is there any way to reset the points I've put into my character in The Witcher 1? I feel I've made some poor decisions but I'm pretty far into the game, and I don't want to replay it.

Fixed my saves problem by deleting all of my old ones, reluctantly.

Adequate level point spending can be tricky but in my opinion the game doesn't seem to penalize you too hard for spending them unwisely.

Why does it install the .net framework every time I start witcher?

any saved game editors for the witcher? dont feel like playing the first one and i lost my old save.

registered my physical copy on their site. gonna try a fresh install from there since my update finally borked the entire game (crash on start up before it could even try to patch it)

Wow just started a new game and inadvertently played for 3 and a half hours, going to be tired tomorrow !!

They probably don't use colorgrading, an effect mostly used in cutscenes and certain areas of the game (which is where the filtering is most apparent). They also don't use bloom and motion blur or DoF like they do in the PC version. So in that sense, the lighting and effects are much weaker. Everything else looks pretty damn close though.

yeah. I'd say the biggest difference between the two is the lack of color correction. i also think the xbox version doesn't have SSAO but in my opinion the game looks better without it a lot of the time anyways because it's so iffy. leaves random rings and stuff. never fond of that.

I haven't play it in a year since release, and I forgot how fucking good this game is. I'm glad I waited for this Enhanced update - everything feels new again. And on my new dekstop, it looks and runs beautifully.

Anyone else have a problem with the counter attack icon not appearing?

Yes, quite a bit of people it seems. Saw it on GOG forums.

I keep getting an error when I start the game up that says the disk is not in the cd drive.
