Yeah, the strongest shotguns usually use more than one bullet per shot.
But do long as you use them up close, and dont miss, it shoukdnt be too much of an issue.
My favourite shotguns for that reason specifically are the double barreled hyperion variety. They don't chew through ammo but usually still have a large amount of damage
I prefer single barrel hyperion because of how crazy accurate they become.
I like Single Barrel shotguns 'cause I love Tediore's 1-shot barrel part.
I haven't seen a lot of 1 barrel shotguns that are worth a damn
Bandit Shotguns best shotguns imo, lets you get those high damage shots without getting 1 shot per clip.

Me and my sister were fighting [sp] The Bunker [/sp] in TVHM today and it glitched out on a ledge, so I decided to jump into the gap that it has and i got stuck there so I melee'd it to death.
Of course, we didn't know we couldn't officially kill it if it was glitched. :(
plasma casters are best weapon no contest
jakobs pistols are a close second

hyperion i find is much better. Higher accuracy, fire rate, generally less damage I've noticed but much better on other stats that I value more
overall bandit guns let me down the most, they're shitty almost every time I see one. I avoid bandit purples besides their occasional shotgun because they're so meh.

True, though bandit ones let me shoot for solid damage per shot without having to reload after every goddamn shot. Hyperion takes a while to empty too, but doesn't deal nearly as much damage. :(

I like e-tech, but some of them are useless due to additional gimmicks.
Like Dahl ARs - 3-way horizontal fire with 2 ammo per shot makes it empty in no time. Hipfire broken to shit.
Vladof snipers are pathetic with their full auto. Say bye to ammo saving.
All e-tech handguns shooting darts with kinda big delay till they explode.
The rest are cool.

All the shotguns I've found are also really crap. And the snipers seem to lack the crit bonus of other snipers.

There is actually two types of E-tech pistols. Ones that shoot darts and ones that shoot little homing ... things. I prefer the dartguns myself, at least you can get some good damage off of them. The homing bullets move so fucking slow and because of that a shot that should have hit usually ends up hitting cover because in the time the bullet is just casually floating along the enemy has long since moved behind a wall or something. The bullet obviously doesn't compensate for this and instead arcs even further off course trying to get them through whatever it is they're hiding behind.

I want to get Moxxi's SMG off her since I need a replacement for my E-Tech one, but I'm level 32 and she only gives a level 28 Bad Touch out. I'm holding it out to be a level 30 SMG, but how do you know what equipment will be scaled?

That's Cheat Engine, it's just about the only thing I'd use this thing for, but from what I hear it affects .dll stuff, so you have to make sure this stuff isn't open if you launch a game with VAC protection, and I never trust either myself or the program itself, I always think it's gonna bite me in the ass.
Gearbox needs to wake the fuck up and add this god damn 3rd person support officially. Why release a trailer and several screenshots when you see moments in 3rd person if then they turn around and don't even add the option? (Gotta love their "reason" too: "It's an FPS") Just about the biggest bullshit ever spewed.

Happens to me on multiplier if I'm not the host.
Torgue guns are best everything.
Except plasma casters, tediore ones seem to have much bigger clips than the best non-etech tediores I've found.
