I think it has a good mix where it's at. crafting would kind of take away the fun of having random generated guns; I think finding a random gun that's great is more rewarding than crafting one. Exploration might be good, but more on the scale of "cool places to go that aren't quest related".
I think they said this before, but I think that if they decide to do weapon crafting, they should limit it to a special pool of craft-only parts. Possibly made by a new manufacturer or something, with a few special and rare/legendary crafting parts by the existing manufacturers. And stat-wise, making sure they'd never be more powerful than a looted weapon of the same rarity/level, but probably letting you do more weird things with them like some of the current legendaries.
I've been farming [sp]BNK3R[/sp] for hours now and still haven't gotten any heads. They're a myth :suicide:

I'd like weapon crafting to be the ability of one class-- they can scavenge a weapon for a single part, destroying the rest of the gun in the process. They can do this for any gun but the crafting rules have to follow the existing gun generation rules

I think what would be cool is a sort of shootout gamemode, where you can make a custom gun based on parts you've already found and add whatever you want, and then try it out on a bunch of bandits.
Finally got Bee and CC.
Killed Terra and Warrior. Too boring...
Anyone want them for Legendary Soldier?
is it correct that every varkid gets a "value" when they spawn, which determines how far they can evolve?
is it correct that every varkid gets a "value" when they spawn, which determines how far they can evolve?
I'm not quite sure if the value is assigned only when the spawn, or reassigned when they evolve.
In other news, I am fruit scratch.

So, my mechromancer bugged, every other reload it gives me bigger magazine...for example, law has 7 bullets, after reload it has 30, after another reload 44 and after that back to 7...needless to say, when its anything other than default 7, it's accuracy are not affected by anarchy...
This happened when i activated The Better Half skill...also, projectile speed is masively increased
The [sp]Minecraft[/sp] easter egg really shocked me when I found it.
I love this game so much.
It didn't surprise me at all considering it was plastered all over the front page of youtube and there was a shacknews thread about it in the news node a day after the US release.

If a single class ever gets something like that, every other class needs some kind of ability that's just as powerful.
So I completed Borderlands 1 yesterday with a pal of mine, we both played the whole game together. To be honest, that game was mediocre at best, I wonder how it got so many reviews. The thing is that the gunplay and loot is great, but the rest sucks so much. Boring quests and boring story that is a fucking joke, the end was such a slap to the face. I would never play this in singleplayer. This game lacks everything.
So I wonder if Borderlands 2 is really worth it, everyone says it is so much better. Because I really liked the gunplay in the first one.

I don't understand how you liked the gunplay. IMO that was one of the worst aspects (and is thankfully a ton better in BL2). But yeah after playing BL2 I don't think I could ever go back to the first game, that's how much of an improvement it is. Definitely worth the money.
I do not know why I liked it so much, it felt like a perfect blent of RPG and FPS. With all the numbers and different stats. I played as a sniper for most of the time, somehow critical hits felt so satisfying.
In BL1 the characters were not funny, all the jokes felt so forced and were medicore at best. Quests were boring, kill X and find Y. Maps were boring, everything looked the same. Character developement was okay though. Also the ending, that ending. Fuck it was so bad.
any one eles have cursed mecros E.G., when ever you go into someones game THEIR game freezes and when i empty clip/mag normaly all my stacks are gone

Heh, have to admit I giggled when I saw your girlfriend was playing Mechromancer.
I liked the atmosphere better in the first, You were just another guy off the bus looking for treasure and trying to build a name for himself in a desert wasteland. As opposed to the second where you arrive and get treated like the reincarnation of jesus right away.
holy shit the first time you go to the wildlife exploitation preserve is just...
ahhhh

Borderlands 2: ALL HAIL THE GLORIOUS VAULT HUNTEEEEER

Off topic, but almost the same problem I ran into with HL2
Off topic, but almost the same problem I ran into with HL2
Except it makes sense in HL2 as you're playing the same hero from the first.

The story fits it that way, though.
You were a hero in the first game, disappeared, then magically come back.
Everyone thinks you can do it.
In Borderlands 2, you're another random straggler. You were attacked, and survived a train crash. Yet just because you're "looking for the vault," (even though only, like, 2 characters actually are, in any way; the rest are on Pandora for reasons completely unrelated to the vault), you're praised as the greatest hero to grace Pandora.
what is happening to my brain
there were very few aspects if any of the first game that I liked, but I still want to play it again.

What? All of the characters in the game are hunting for vaults. They were hand picked by Handsome Jack (hence why you're on the train) to be "vault hunters" just so he can take them out at the same time. Gaige is the only one that isn't explicitly stated that she's hunting vaults except from the echo logs on youtube. All of them also have an interest in the vaults. Zer0 sees it as a challenge as does Salvador. Maya wants to learn more about eridium and sirens and Axton sees it as another job for cash and glory.

Oh, did they mention one's gotta be pretty badass to survive that kind of trap and make it to safety, all while kicking increasingly more ass?
Oh, did they mention one's gotta be pretty badass to survive that kind of trap and make it to safety, all while kicking increasingly more ass?
Yeah, but then they mentioned it was a trap they were meant to survive.

If there's one thing this game has, it's an exorbitant amount of the word "ass"
Is there a way to lose XP and back level? I went too far in my Vault Hunter playthrough and I kind of want to go back to level 34... is there a trainer or something you can use like Cheat Engine for that?

Borderlands 2 is everything Borderlands 1 was supposed to be - and then some. It's completely worth it.
Also did anybody else here find the Bioshock Easter Egg in Captain Scarlett's DLC yet?
