Does anybody know if Terramorphous' drops are better in playthrough 2?
I didn't think they would be, since he's the same level, but Ithought I'd check.
Finally we farmed up to 120 Seraph crystals. We killed him 13 times :v:.

Okay, just bought the game for Xbox. I'm thinking I'll go with Axton...does he play similarly to Roland?
Also, a question about assault rifles. In BL1 they were blatantly outclassed by SMGs in every way. Recoil, shots per second, reloads, accuracy...has that been fixed in bl2?

In BL2 everything outclasses assault rifles, And axton plays like a roland with no support abilities and a better turret.

I agree about hard times getting a good AR, but it was never outclassed by any other weapons for me at least.
The only shitty thing about ARs is BL2 E-tech Dahl.
The rest are fine.

I'm not sure if they were. I had to do verify game cache before they showed up in the game, and that's how it was with all the preorder DLC [sub][sup][sup]most of which I obtained without the old DLC file trick[/sup][/sup][/sub]
Assault Rifles are worse than the rest in terms of how much more difficult it is to get a good one, but imo the good ARs are pretty much equal to the rest depending on playstyle.

I might go with whatever the Siren class is, the most fun I had in BL was going with Lilith and building for DoTs. Fire, poison, shock...everything at once was so great. Numbers everywhere.

I know for sure the bee skins have been in the game since launch. I have every skin/head because I used one of those save files with every customization item in their inventory, and I came across the bee skins when I was browsing the skin section of my character..
it bums me out that assualt rifles are as weak as they are. They were the strongest guns in BL1 if you found the right one, but now I feel like the only one worth a damn is [sp]Captain Blades Rapier[/sp] and maybe a choice few others, but even then, it's not that strong.
I hope it's remedied at some point.

I found Maya to be the most fun of the original 4, Gaige is way fun too though. But definitely go with Maya and upgrade her cataclysm tree if you want to see fire slag poison and shock happening all at once!
on that note, what class is the one that would most benefit shotguns? i'm hoping not zero :(

If you like using elemental guns, the Siren's perfect.
If you plan on playing with friends, she also has a lot of healing-related skills, which help a lot.

Axton has shotgun class mods, can't remember if others do too.

Zer0 can be played to be upfront in the heat of the battle killing everything with melee, supporting with cunning, kunai, and otherwise helping out. Or he can snipe and get in medium range and win almost any fight.
Axton is capable of soloing a lot of things due to his turret. He has good survivability and some alright damage skills but he's not the best or worst at anything. Just middle ground IMO.
Sal can do insane damage, and can survive a LOT of shit. But he's also got some pretty bland skills in some areas and can be kind of boring to play in my opinion as no matter what, you're always just pulling out another gun to shoot more things in a small period of time. It's alright and it can win you any fight, but I didn't enjoy him the most.
The siren is the hardest class to play in my expeirence and requires some thinking to get her to play well, as far as her skills go, she's interesting and capable of great damage, great Crowd control, and great survivability as she can heal and heal others really well.
The Mechromancer is a really strong class if you want to dish out the 10$ for that as she's truly unique from any other character in the game in terms of how she plays.
For me, it goes Zer0>Mechro>Axton>Sal>Maya

Zer0 gets a large boost for shotguns through some skills but really, the best shotgunner is Sal, he's really able to boost the damage of them with DW and slag, and using the correct skills to fight with makes shotguns incredible.
Really though, Zer0's far from a boring weak character.

Those are fine but they're one of the only types of them that has any ability to work well at all, and then those guns against a lot of targets aren't very useful, larger health pooled enemies will take a lot from either of those.

Wow, easily the best ARs I've seen in bl2. Still, I remember having machine guns in bl1 with ~15 fire rate and gigantic magazines, they were amazing, especially with Roland.

Draco and Serpens was the best machineguns in BL1.
I just liked how there was a huge difference between Assault Rifles and Machine Guns in the first.
Especially since ther were 1, 3, and 5 shot versions of Assault Rifles.

It's a real pity how rare LMGs are in Borderlands 2 (Are they e-tech only?), I'd love to see something other than Bandit LMGs like Hyperion and Vladof ones, but that's just me being optimistic

The items you spend crystals on are pink, not magenta. They're probably either just a random drop, or found in a golden chest. And there's no reason why they'd only be in the DLC, as far as I know.
