P.S. my Axton opinion is short because Axton is BORING to play. Just like Roland was.
"Commando here!"
I can say same thing about Zero and Mord - typical cheap ass snipers\ninjas for those who like shooting pixels or spamming Melee button. Like you said - it's only an opinion.
Which class to take and what playstyle to choose is your only decision.
And Axton suffer from bad turret's dmg+health scaling same as Roland in BL1.
On PT2 you forced to use Longbow skill just to make your turret not die from 1-2 hits.
But without Scorched Earth turret's damage turns into complete joke.
I ended up with this build:

Legendary Soldier mod adds +5 for the first 6 skills.
Before I was using Auto Gunner mod (+25% Team Fire Rate, +5 Steady, +4 Metal Storm, +3 Overload).
so i've been messing around more with gaige
close enough is stupidly overpowered once you get a fuckload of anarchy stacks
shooting at the ground seems to be more effective at times than aiming at my enemy because they'll ricochet at them & with 400 anarchy I can barely hit anything unless they're literally inside my gun barrel

i'm like 50% sure bullets have gone backwards and hit people behind me

Great way to spend my 2400 post.
Maybe something like this is better. Close Enough is more important than building extra anarchy stacks.

someone give me some input i have almost no idea what the hell i'm doing
As an Axton in pt2 i can tell you that its much better to use the survival skill tree + a slag weapon instead of 1 turret. The shield will buy time for the turrets and with 2 you'll be shooting double the rockets.

Already tried it. Turrets dies almost instantly without Longbow.
with axton can't you turn your turrets into longbow nukes or something? if they die almost instantly, make the most of it
I'm pretty surprised the turret's health doesn't at least scale to your level. There should be perks that increase it's health, or the shield's strength.
...you know, Rational Anarchist and Discord would be an interesting mix. Get 25 stacks, activate Discord. Repeat until everything dies. You'd have MASSIVE buffs and you could keep them up constantly.
I do like the idea of 400 anarchy stacks more, though. It might technically be a worse option, but it's so, so tempting.

After lvl46 even psychos don't give a shit about sudden nuke under their pants.

Phalanx Shield is ok on PT1, but completely useless solo on PT2. Even with 2 turrets.
Longbow is MUST HAVE buff because of +110% turret hp.
I suspect all the people who claim Axton's turret gets destroyed quickly are just throwing it into the middle of a bunch of enemies and expecting it to work. Of course its going to get destroyed if you do that. I use survival with a bit of guerrilla (for the rockets) and I haven't had my turret get destroyed on TVHM since Captain Flynt's fight.
I guess it comes down to either a constant stream of buffs or a fuckload of extra damage. One's more glass cannon than the other, I think.

man i should really start just editing my posts instead of posting again. Sorry. :<

Have fun meeting Goliath Blasters and Hyperion Hawks.

Brother and I have finished TVHM, he's a Commando and didn't use Longbow. If his turrets died it's because they drew all the fire - which means we can just tear things up ourselves while they're busy fellating his turrets' gun barrels.
Okay, this seems to be just about as optimized as I can make it.
Jakobs guns will cause shock explosions every time they reload, killing an enemy will create a shock storm, wires don't talk will up that damage, each one of those can also cause burns, evil enchantress will activate simultaneously with shock storm, upping the damage even more. 400 anarchy stacks + close enough will kill everything within a ten mile radius, jakobs will add stacks like crazy because of how obnoxiously small their clips are, BS shields + discord will keep me alive forever, and myelin increases my shield capacity.
Thoughts?
Edit: Fuck, I just realized. If Shock and AUUGGHHHHH (or Shock Storm) doesn't actually cause electrocute damage, like I thought it did, then electrical burn might not be worth it. Damn. Can anyone confirm that it does/doesn't do that?
Edit 2: Shock Storm clearly states that it deals electrocute damage, so that damage will be boosted. Shock and Ahhh, however, says it deals an electrical explosion, so I'm not sure exactly what it causes. :<
I like longbow because it allows me to flank enemies, the turret makes for a decent tank and damage dealer while i finish everything off.
Survival on the other hand has only one decent turret skill: Gemini. Maglock fucks up turret placement, the shield is completely useless, and the skills that actually increase your survival are not that impressive since a turret with longbow is usually tankier than you anyways.
This game needs some skill tuning actually, and maybe balance. Gaige has a problem similar to maglock with that one skill that recharges an ally's shield, it's only useful for getting in the way.
Wooooo got a conference call on my first [sp]Warrior[/sp] kill on TVHM.
Got a Leech from my first TVHM Warrior, was awesome. Also managed to get a Bee just recently, and I've had a CC from PT1... Curious if I'll be able to put a dent in anything with it...
Yep, Terra just went down to this:

Bees man. They fuck shit up.
Holy how long did it take Terra to die?
Holy how long did it take Terra to die?
5-7 min on PT1 without Bee.
7-10 min on PT2 without Bee.
Less than a min at both PT1 and PT2 with Bee.
You know, for all Diablo 3's problems, they sure seem to do a lot better with trying to improve and work on the game after launch, even if the successful is debatable. I kind of get the impression Gearbox is pretty much just moving on and focusing on DLC.
I hate farming "Maggie".
That reminds me, I still need to do that now that I'm in playthrough 2.5.
Also, I've fallen in love with Tediore.
Once I hit level 50, I used all of my golden keys (probably a bad idea, since they're raising the level cap) and got a Tediore E-Tech Plasma Caster.
It's absolutely gorgeous.

who are those guys in the end together with steele?
who are those guys in the end together with steele?
All 3 of those are early concepts for the classes.
They used Lilith's old appearance as Steele's.
who are those guys in the end together with steele?
They are Roland Mordecai and at that point Steele's model was Liliths
I need some help, I've encountered a game breaking glitch (also possible spoilers):

Near the end of the trailer, you see Steele among the vault hunters. She was supposed to be the Siren, however they made Lilith the Siren, but kept her as a NPC. She's still a Siren though in BL1, in case you didn't notice.
I think that my 2.5 scaling is not working. I just found a level 49 Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, even thought I just finished TVHM. Also, the Whiskey Tango Foxtrot is fucking insane. It's just as likely to kill you as your enemies
