i'm 99% sure it's by level. Everything's always your level or close to normally, even if you ignore mainquest and over level a huge amount.

I've been playing without doing any sidequests and the slot machines gave items a few levels higher than me.

I don't accept duplicated items. Also, by nuclear blast, the damage the turret outputs when it is destroyed is kind of like the nuclear blast. I mainly went guerilla, finished it out. Also, 'placing it out of danger' is near impossible since it always attracts the fire of your enemies because of how fast it puts in damage.

Honestly I thought they were all pretty good, Tina reminds me HAWP a lot so that's a plus, Ellie's just a funny redneck that actually has some attitude, Scooter's retarded but enjoyable, Claptrap is ridiculous and very well written. Really, only one character felt underwritten, and that's Roland. He was alright, but bland to me.
It's Tina's voice. It's like a cheese grater against my ears, it's so unfitting. If they actually had someone who sounds like a cute little girl her character would be improved +1000%.

One of my favorite moments of the game is when he follows you to Hero's Pass, only to get marooned.
It was hilarious, but kinda sad if you stuck around to listen to everything he said.
I've been farming the Warrior for a Conference Call for two days straight.
I'm about to kill myself. I'm even using the difficulty slider to make it so the game thinks there's 4 players, giving a higher chance of loot drops, and still nothing.
Oh and to make matters worse, my friend got one on his first kill.
