I soloed it. Just keep close to the robot and use your strongest weapon. Go for the larger groups of enemies first.

Shooting the limbs off robots becomes a lot more useful in Playthrough 2.
I barely completed it only by getting lucky with the last constructor bugging out. The guy who designed the mission actually posted in a long thread about it saying that he intentionally made it difficult so if you are having trouble don't feel bad.

Being an escort, it's really all about prioritizing targets. Beyond that, make sure you're pulling as much aggro as possible off of the constructor.

He was just running around on a high up ledge shooting acid blobs at us and morphing, once he turned into a super badass he flew down and morphed into that when he was at about half his health.

Related: this skill is hilarious. I have 5 points in it on my Siren and I just walk up to teammates with a shotgun and full heal them. I've also seen a purple class mod that gives +4 to the skill, which increases your healing done to 54% per shot.

I've tried that, but it didn't heal him very much.
My most powerful weapon would only raise the meter a sliver every few shots.
