Current shift codes are single use per person, but the codes can be redeemed by more than one person until they either run out, or expire.

From Randy's twitter, one use per account as far as I'm aware, but they have several thousand redemptions so they should run out in a few hours.

The keys with 25K redemptions were gone in minutes, These new ones are timed. After a few hours they disappear.

Shift codes give you golden keys. The only other ways to get them are going to gearbox events or buying the mechromancer pack.

ok i've recently purchased borderlands 2
can someone parsimoniously tell me what shift is, and if it's possible for me to redeem these keys without the game being installed so when i do eventually install it in a month or two i've got a nice lil pile of keys

Shift codes currently can only be redeemed by loading up the game, and putting them in under the Extras menu.
Also Gearbox Shift is Gearbox's attempt at a gaming-networking kind of site.
Okay, so I made a second character as a Gunzerker, and I got lucky enough to find an explosive shotgun as a quest rewards early on. Combined with not tackling Flynt until completing [i]all[/i] of the first missions of the game I could, and I pretty much tore him to shreds. :v:

So I was able to kill Pyro Pete as a Siren + Siren team but not Commando + Siren team. Hell I like my siren more than my Commando now. I thought Gaige would replace my Axton but she's so buggy it's not even worth it. She's only really useful for solo.

Every try 4x gaige? Summon your deathtraps all at once and have a tea party while they murderfuck everything. Alternatively have everybody spec in close enough and grab jakobs shotguns.
However, hearing 4x the gaige death scream that you hear when she takes elemental damage is quite disconcerting.

Yeah, she sounds like someone is peeling her skin off with a rusty cheese grater whenever she screams.
I get more concerned that her melee sound only plays 20% of the time, and is often delayed by a few moments

Same goes for if you use "earned" golden keys which ultimately have nothing to do with the game.
Maya's new torgue head isn't just bugged only for me, right? Everytime I pick one of the hundreds of skins I unlocked for her the head stays the same. If it does manage to change it'll revert back to default colors if I fast travel somewhere else (this is only the head, the body colors remain the same).

Only ones that change colour properly are the Zer0 and Axton ones.

I fought him the first time, succeeded NEVER FOUGHT THE FUCKER AGAIN. Why? Because he drops NOTHING. No seraphs, hell I haven't even heard of anyone getting legendaries off of him.
Also the Seraph crystals are really misleading. When I first heard about them I thought they meant Seraph Guardians from the first game especially with the amount of eridian stuff at the end of the Pirate dlc... Oh how disappointed I was.
I think they really need to make that fight just a bit easier, as right now it's pretty much impossible to win it without modded shields. Mainly because before you even get his health halved, the entire arena will already be pooling with acid you can NOT avoid at all but which merely tickles Gee.
At least Hyperius' ground pound attacks can be recovered from with right unmodded equipment and skills. Personally I like Hyperius as he's now officially more challenging that Crawmerax but a HELL OF A LOT more possible that Gee, strikes that right balance.

I'm pretty sure Gee is STILL glitched to where he drops Eridium in place of Seraph crystals.

If you know how to keep him near the pools the arena won't be flooded with acid. That being said you might absorb some of it though... so honestly you need a medic siren to help keep you alive. Gee is just one bullshit fight.

Also, the difference in difficulty between solo and co-op is huge. You could be surviving dozens of shots before your shield goes down, but once that second player pops in, nope. Die in 5 hits.
