Goddamnit, now work is going to go by so slowly this afternoon. I was hoping my preload had worked, since i told steam to start downloading when i purchased it from work at 8am.
Oh well, it'll greet me when i get home.
Any ideas why my game looks like this?

Seriously though a cloaking device that'd leave artifacts such as that on you would be pretty cool.

They don't really need to state it, it's already been done :v:
I'm pretty sure some effort has been put into it.
All I answered to was that it's not been stated officially if you could just move stuff over.
Fuckyes. Got myself deluxe edition for the shit I sold on market.
I hope it was worth it :v:
Heh, there is no grenade throwing animation underwater, it just flies forward out of your body.
I wish you could choose your loadouts in the vanilla missions. Specifically clothing.
So how is it? Just realized that it was a paid alpha instead of a free beta release toady, so I am sad. But alas, I'll still get it when it releases (assuming it isn't totally crap, which I don't think it will be).
I loved ArmA2 but hated it at the same time for just how clunky it was. Still didn't stop me from spending 70+ hours playing it though, and I had some awesome times with it on multiplayer. Does Arma3 seem to play less clunky, and does it feel really tactile/authentic in its gunplay?

Buy it, christ buy it now.
Getting some bad FPS at any settings :(
i5 2500k OCed to 4.4GHz
8gb ram 1600MHz
EVGA GTX 670 2gb no OC.
Anyone with similar specs (prefarbly 570-670 or 660 etc) got good fps? If so, what GPU drivers?

Just buy it now. It's cheaper in the long run anyways.
It's not a "paid alpha", it's a discounted preorder with alpha and beta access.
Also you guys should celebrate your decent fps while you can. Just wait until Altis lands and crushes your fps. I remember running Utes and going "Yay 60fps solid!" and then well.. I bought the game and jumped into Chernarus.

I would if I had decent fps.
Phenom II X4 965 3.4ghz
12gb ram
MSI 7850 2gb
20-25 fps if im lucky. :C

a LOT of the clunkiness is gone, the only clunky things I can find are vaulting still brings you to a near stop and is very jarring after going from a full sprint to an instant slower-than-walk animation.
And changing weapons still requires you to stand still.
Other than that, the game's movement and aiming feels so much more fluid than even a lot of AAA shooters released.
Are there other camera options than the normal third person one? I want to do that spectator camera that CHKilroy had.
I wonder what kind of things are on the sea floor. I found a sunken fishing boat off the south coast near the Spartan.
why is it that you have to press space to select stuff now
also where are the red things around the enemys gone?
The shadow distance is where the most lag is for me, otherwise i'm running around 50 fps when not looking at a ton of trees.

You can use middle click, like you always have been able to.
There's been a few rebindings since the last game so you might want to go over the controls and either set them back to A2 style or learn the new ones.
Downloading now
AMD Quad Core 3.2ghz (So basically a Dual Core Intel)
4Gb of RAM
HD7850
Will report back on my frames
Don't have the cash for it plus I got SimCity today so I don't really need/want another game to play ATM (not to mention I bought FC3 for $20 about a week ago which I still have to beat). I'll just get it later.
But anyways, how is it (in reguards to what I mentioned in my previous post above)?
When was the ending of that alpha promo?
has anyone found a list of a3 class names? there are items that are in the alpha but not in the standard item boxes which is a bit annoying

Request being able to swap from primary weapon to sidearm while on the move. If it's one thing special forces Do and train to do, it's that. If enough of us request it, It'll probably get in, it's a reasonable request
I can't connect to store.bistudio.com
:C
A sandbox mission would be great for me and my friends. Is there a way to place out a weapon box in the editor with all the weaponry? A respawn script as to not make people into birds on death? :v:
Setting fog to 100% is not a good idea
Went to sleep, woke up to find I slept 3 hours longer than I wanted to but thought at least Arma's downloaded. Go to computer, and it's sitting on sleep at 50% :(
Where do you get all this customization shit?
There are no boxes that have attachments/uniforms/customization items in it.
I MUST CUSTOMIZE
