Request being able to swap from primary weapon to sidearm while on the move. If it's one thing special forces Do and train to do, it's that. If enough of us request it, It'll probably get in, it's a reasonable request
Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if it was just a polish thing that wasn't high priority, and will probably be seen in a later update or the beta.
Edit: Jesus christ, this thread is throbbing with activity, I'm getting rated and replied to before I even get a chance to refresh the page.
Any yeah, anyone who knows how to use the editor, if they could set up a simple full-on showcase mission consisting of boxes with all the weapons, attachments, clothes, items and whatnot - that would be amazing.

I'm betting it will. One thing they've really emphasized on is movement and fluidity with stances, aiming and shooting, throwing grenades, so here's hoping

jesus christ why do headlights suck this much
Getting a bit pissed off waiting now. Chances of a refund if I complain? May as well just get it on steam now...
E: As above, over 4 hour wait...
jesus christ why do headlights suck this much
Yeah, lights/luminance seem a little broken right now, the spotlight on the chopper does barely anything and you can't see the interior gauges and dials even though they're clearly on.
How do i spawn vehicles in the editor?
works for me
As in, respawns using description.ext
Why in the hell don't I have you on steam.
obviously the best feature in the game

i LOVE these controls, everything feels so fluid
[editline]5th March 2013[/editline]
also apparently satchels have a much bigger range now, similar to ACE (ALSO FUCKING CLAYMORES AND SLAMS AND C4 FUCK YES)
Good lawd the helicopters seem even harder to fly than in ArmA II, I'm going to need to get my joystick out
I don't get the disagree ratings, they really feel different than ArmA2 and take some getting used to
They still sling weapons on the back? It's the near future. Even today we use 3 point slings. And when you pull out binoculars it's lowered to your front. Why not when we pull out our side arms? Grrr
Getting some bad FPS at any settings :(
i5 2500k OCed to 4.4GHz
8gb ram 1600MHz
EVGA GTX 670 2gb no OC.
Anyone with similar specs (prefarbly 570-670 or 660 etc) got good fps? If so, what GPU drivers?
Same mate, i5 2500, 4GB RAM and overclocked 670. Varies from 25-40 on medium/high, sometimes as low as 22.
Phenom X4 II 955 BE 3.2GHZ
8GB DDR3 RAM
7950 3GB
Runs pretty awful, but looks ok. In terms of feeling, its fantastic.
Please don't tell me I'm the only one who thinks the ragdolls are horrid and they should change it back?
Don't have the cash for it plus I got SimCity today so I don't really need/want another game to play ATM (not to mention I bought FC3 for $20 about a week ago which I still have to beat). I'll just get it later.
But anyways, how is it (in reguards to what I mentioned in my previous post above)?
Basically, it retains all the authenticity that A2 had but without all the clunkiness, the game is as fluid as Call of Duty or any other AAA shooter game now in term of aiming and movement which is great, no more dying because I'm getting stuck inside of myself because of the clunky mechanics.
In a nutshell, A3 is everything A2 was but much much much better and with a shitload more stuff added in, I loved A2 but I really had to work hard to look past the clunkiness, A3 doesn't even have any of that clunkiness, it feels great.
[editline]5th March 2013[/editline]
Also I only played singleplayer but I'm getting great FPS with a shitty GTS 450, 4 gb ram and a Q9300 2.5 GHZ Quadcore, though this is on the "standard" graphic options.
i dont get the new inventory system though
its really weird
what the fuck do i do seriously i mean i lowered my 3d resolution to the minmum and shit im still getting lag
i mean its not normal I only get 60 fps on the absolute minimum settings that are designed for intel HD 4000 graphics
I HAVE A FUCKING 7970 AND 16 GIGABYTES OF RAM WHY AM I GETTING 13 FPS ON MEDIUM QUALITY FOR FUCKS SAKE
The game obviously needs some optimization, just give it some time.

CPU bottlenecking maybe?
I guess I'm gonna wait untill I've upgraded my computer and if I hear good results of the optimization on the final release, I will buy it.
Doesn't Arma run worse the lower you put the resolution? Arma 2 does in some cases

Can I run it?
They just said this one Twitter

Sorry, I'm not sure how embedding works with Twitter
Heh, in the manual is states you can't take enemy uniforms because of the Geneva Convention, doesn't apply to civies though, if you're a civi in the editor you can loot a soldier and wear their uniform.

My three year old "gaming" laptop runs this game fine on standard settings, I even have some some wiggle room to up some of the settings.
Startup script is now startup.sqs (according to the config file in the editor at least), to that guy who was having problems.

I don't care what a manual says, I will not be told how or how not to dress up my virtual G.I. Joes!

Really weird, everyone with better specs than me are getting poor fps.
im on HD5870, 4GB RAM and an i5 2.7ghz and i get ~30fps on very high.

I've heard many people on the Armaholic forums say that the best way to gain performance is by using native resolution.

Same here. I have no idea how that bit of sorcery works
Planetside 2 is the same way for me, and a lot of people
"Want better framerates? Lowest settings still not cutting it? JACK THEM BITCHES UP" Perfect frames
