Perfect. I'm pretty damn sure my computer can handle this according to other hardware reviews and diagnostics.
But I also need to know if my gaming laptop can handle it atleast on lowest settings for LAN events.
Anyone think this might work? (hardware is not really my thing)
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

If my three year old Asus G53SW can run it then I'm more than sure your laptop can.
560TI
I think 4700K (not on my desktop atm)
runnable at 40FPS in medium?
Can you run arma3 without having steam running?
Sucks that you can't wear enemy uniforms. I thought I heard in this one video, you can wear enemys' uniforms and sneak into their bases undetected.
Also mimimimi optimization yeah whatever 35 fps on gtx fucking 580
Yes I fully understand alpha etc but people with lower specs are getting good fps what in the shit
edit: on LOW
im running fine on a 560

Its not implemented yet
You can already steal enemy uniforms and shit just not wear them.
Did change my fov to 95 = instant better game.
Do it in the config with the fovtop etc (you need to calculate degrees radians and shit)
Does it still fuck up scope overlays?
but that's a breach of geneva convention
shamelessly begging for a copy
Well, on my 3.2ghz Quad Core, HD7850, 4Gb of Ram. With 2500 View Distance, everything on High with shadows on standard, and Post processing on standard, It's very very very playable. Pretty much perfect framerates until action heats up, but then that's a CPU bottleneck
this thread is killing me
Shoutout to everyone who played on my civilian freeroam/roadrage server :v:
I'll host tomorrow as well, hopefully we'll get a dedicated server solution soon.
as I go further inland and as a mission progresses my fps drops to like fucking 5 on all normal. I have a shitty computer I guess :<
I can usually get 20-40 though, just it slowly gets worse and worse.
radeon 5670
8gb ddr3 ram
Intel Pentium E5700 3.00GHz dual core
can i run it at at least 20 fps?
Tried joining the FP server. Framerate dipped down to about 10, would stutter down to 1 or 3; on lowest settings. Guess I'll stick with private matches with friends then...
People with high performance, what hard drives are you using?
AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE processor
HD6870
6GB Ram
Running at <20FPS in the helicopter flight mission.
What do I need to upgrade?
im running fine on a 560
cpu?
AMD Phenom II X6 @ 2.8GHz
Seagate 1.5TB HDD 7200RPM
8GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD 6950 1GB
constant 15-25 fps, can go higher if there's practically nothing on the screen but that's about it :/
And what's the FP Server?
Isn't in the OP.
If it's anything like arms 2, graphical stuff on lower settings is handled with the CPU and not the GPU.
So graphics on low are laggy because the cpu can't handle them, and graphics on high are laggy because the gpu can't handle them? I'm sorry but what the fuck
People who buy the alpha get access keys for others, right? Or is that just through the BIS store (I hope not, I bought it through steam)? If so, where do I find them?
Any word on people getting their codes/confirmations who didn't buy the supporter package? I understand that they'd want to go through all of those people first, and I know that every single person must be called in on this right now over at BI, but I'm just wondering how they're going through the errors/complaints as their website is still down.

So if your GPU is better than your CPU would higher setting be more efficient?
This needs further explanation.
Holy fuck.
Just dropped to like 5 fps on the FP server and had to ragequit due to how hard it was to aim.
[editline]5th March 2013[/editline]
I don't know where people got the notion that the game runs better than arma 2 because it runs infinitely worse for me.

because I can
im running fine on a 560
That's fantastic, my 560 has been fucking me over in a lot of games recently so its nice to know I might get decent performance for once.
