Units and effects seem to be poorly optimized, for me it runs pretty much exactly like arma II until something blows up and there's more than 10 soldiers around.

I honestly think they probably focused on optimizing it for weaker systems, so they could get a broader consumer range. They'll probably optimize it for stronger systems later

I'm wonddering if your mobo really sucks or your HDD is super slow or you have a virus or you forgot to plug your video card in
'cause it seems like every game (this and PS2 at least) you have massive performance issues with a good PC :v:
Glad I decided to get the "tried and trusted" i5 2500k w/ a 560Ti combo a year or so back because it sounds like it aces this game and it aces anything else I throw at it so far (including PS2). Plus both are super easy to OC should I decide to need more performance :)

Just bought it, can't wait to play!
So basically we can all agree that for some reason mid to high rigs are having some sort of problems with FPS? Because I start off with a solid 50 FPS and over time it degrades down to like 5-10 FPS.

Continued beta patches for Arma 2 plus an update for OFP ten years after it was released, I don't think people will have to worry about getting patches, hah.
