Hi guys, according to the view comments if you make an @ARMA2 folder and an inside put an Addons folder then put all the PBO's and bikeys inside besides the Editor you can use the Arma 2 maps/assets. Im guessing maps and other addons work to, perhaps ACRE as well with the alpha CBA?

Hopefully we will see this stuff out by the week, I mean sure it's older content but at least it's more content in the arma 3 engine.

It's probably a little buggy, but all the assets seem to work in-game, and that means ACE, ACRE and shit like that probably won't take much work to port over. I can't wait. The only thing I can see taking any time is making sure the weapons have those points for the hands for third person reloads. If not who knows what might happen. Hands stretching off into space or something
For everyone that is having performance problems, turn vsync off. I had it on at first too since I thought they would have figured out how to do vsync properly by now, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Disabling vsync nearly doubled my FPS and all the mouse lag is gone.

It's up to almost 50GB, this should be interesting :v:

I also found for people who have a better graphics card than CPU High runs better than average for some odd reason. So try that.
I have pretty solid performance in single-player, but the second I get into MP I bomb down to a good 5-10 fps.
Can someone give me a solid walkthrough on how to import the stuff from Operation Arrowhead into arma 3?

Interesting, I am hoping at least maps and custom missions import without too much hitches. If they do then it should be easy enough to replace the troops and weapons with arma 3 stuffs if the arma 2 stuff is incompatible initially without some coding.

Pretty genius really. Buy the alpha now for $33, sell for $45 when it actually launches at $50 later this year.
If I "invest" $2970 (90 copies) into getting the alpha and then sell it for $45 when the full game is out later this year for $50, i've made a $1080 profit
That said good luck doing this without getting your steam account banned and all your copies removed because it'll be super obvious you are just stacking up on alpha copies on your account once you start gifting them in masses to people (except obviously they'd be paying for them).
Are there any plans to re-add the Ambient Civilian/Ambient Combat modules?
I was hoping for a module similar to the Spec Op's one from ArmA2. That would have been pretty cool. Along with the Dynamic Battlefield one also. Still in it's current state. It's AWESOME. Can't wait to see what the devs add later on, and what people discover can be ported from ArmA 2 with ease, and the missions people make over the next couple weeks.
I wonder what the NATO special forces will look like, since the standard infantry look like modern day special forces.
