Are you guys ready?
You could pretty much make an rpg of some sort with arma 3 in the style of the escape chernarus mission but multiplayer and with character progress database and permadeath. Would be a fun mod in my opinion. Or actually a proper battle royale mod since you can change clothing attachements and such now
i would kill for an OFP:Resistance style mod where you have to gather people to fight with you, build up bases and steal supplies, that sort of thing. Resistance was the shit.
Fuck yeah, now lets hope it is more optimised than arma 2
Fuck yeah, now lets hope it is more optimised than arma 2
Yeah I wouldn't trust that site all that much. It all comes down to how well the game is optimized. At least when it comes to Bohemia's games. Then again, Stratis and Altis aren't cluttered with trees so I'm hoping things will be better. [img_thumb]http://fedorafellows.com/dump/2013-03-05_13-30-25.png[/img_thumb] See? It can't show a result since I have W8 and it thinks my GPU has nearly 4GB of memory. When it in reality has 1GB.
This got me thinking: Why is Rocket so fucking stupid? I mean, look, DayZ standalone is not running on ArmA 3's engine, but a modified ArmA 2 engine, I believe. And due to that video with Chernarus ported in, why didn't he just port Chernarus and the entire mod to ArmA 3, making DayZ have customization, movement, physics, etc?
Just watched dyslexci's vids. I love the new movement and stance changes. Haven't been so stoked for a game in a long time. [editline]5th March 2013[/editline] alpha is going on my hdd asap
Spent the whole morning cleaning it out. Eventually resorted to junctioning a whole bunch of apps.

There is probably something going on in the company that isn't letting him do that.

I think it may have Take on Helicopter's engine.
Hard to develop a mod of a game that hasn't been released yet I suppose. Yeah, it uses a (heavily) modified ArmA 2 engine. They're also reworking the whole UI system and streamlining everything so there'll be way better AI and performance and what not.

They're still doing a lot of work on it and the DayZ people would be finishing up the features ARMA 3 has and the ARMA team would be doing the same things. It'd basically be twice the work for no real benefit. Since the Day-Z team is basically locking it down and modding it to hell and back, they can't just share assets between the development teams. Unfortunately it isn't a matter of "copy and paste" when it's that different.

Oh man, those vids are getting me so hyped. Fuck. WHY MUST YOU BE DOWN, STORE. D:
Fuck yeah, now lets hope it is more optimised than arma 2
can't believe people use sites like these seriously like honestly, I had a mate who I gave a graphics card and the first thing he wanted to do was go on a site like this that was the first thing he wanted to do
Is anyone else worried about the BI store? I am really wanting to be in the first 500 for the Supporter Edition but the store is down for maintenance.
Oh shit, it's back up!
It has returned from it's slumber!

Oh wow they changed the price of supporter to 57 EU converting to 74 USD. Normal alpha edition is 19.11 EU converting to 24.97 US Dollar

This tester ( http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/CYRI ) is bonkers. How come my old GTX 560 Ti is accepted but your 680 isn't? Rofl:
Suddenly i want this game so bad, but my bank account wants also 25 euros :(
Lite invites will be flying around freely when people start buying and it should be enough to tide you over until you can afford the full version. If you haven't got an invite by the time the Lite version goes live, drop me a PM and I will give you one.
OH GOD THE STORE IS SO SLOW HOLD ME
OH GOD THE STORE IS SO SLOW HOLD ME
There's no way it's going to survive the big refresh :v:
Apparently Arma 2 can just be loaded in as a mod, no porting required.
Can I get a source for this? My friend isn't believing me.
