Can someone explain to me how I can use Dilithium to get Cryptic Points? I don't understand how it works.
Just go to the dilithium exchange (drop-down menu by the minimap, next to PVP icon) and just buy whatever is cheapest.
Can someone explain to me how I can use Dilithium to get Cryptic Points? I don't understand how it works.
I'm having trouble figuring it out, too. From what I understand, you place a bid based on what's being offered and you get an equal amount of Cryptic points depending on how much dilithium you put forward. The prices are insanely high, though, because of the nature of Cryptic points.
This game worth trying? I was thrown off by Perfect World Entertainments "recent" purchase of Cryptic Studios.
This game worth trying? I was thrown off by Perfect World Entertainments "recent" purchase of Cryptic Studios.
It's free, So it's not like you lose out on anything if you try it (Unless you've got a bandwidth cap)
I wonder if you test drive the Odyssey around Mars, it would make sense
I wonder if you test drive the Odyssey around Mars, it would make sense
I hope so. Utopia Planitia is the single largest shipyard in the Federation, but all you ever see is a small portion of the orbital facility in an unimportant low-rank KDF mission. Disappointing, really.
I've found out the best way to get Dilithium is to do the War Zone mission in Ker'rat, you just have to finish it 3 times and you get 1440 ore and it's repeatable as soon as you hail it in. Finally reached the 8000 limit a day on my Klink doing it.
There is also a daily you can do that rewards Dilithium- you have to finish 3 user-created missions, of which there are plenty of short ones made specifically for it.
There is alsa the Sh'mar freighter in the neutral zone near d7 station. it's only a short fight with true way, and theres another mission nearby where you need to fix some satilites.
Been playing this game for a couple of days now and i've reached level 15 so i got my fourth bridge officer. When i received him i pressed train up, after that he is gone. Where can i find him so that i can choose what position on the bridge he's gonna have?
So when i reach commander and get a new ship i should be able to use him?
This advanced escort I got when I reached admiral was the first ship that had 5 bridge stations. But you can get more officers before that though. [editline]25th January 2012[/editline]
There is also a daily you can do that rewards Dilithium- you have to finish 3 user-created missions, of which there are plenty of short ones made specifically for it.
Those missions by The.Grand.Nagus are nice ones, especially the space ones, basically all you need to do is kill some ships and talk to a station/cargo ship and you're done.
So when i reach commander and get a new ship i should be able to use him?
No. If you read the information about bridge officers, train up means he will train one of your bridge officers and then he will leave.
Is there a way to upgrade a officers space ability? Like Torpedo: high yield I to like III?
No. If you read the information about bridge officers, train up means he will train one of your bridge officers and then he will leave.
Oh ok. [editline]25th January 2012[/editline] Is there any way to train duty officers to bridge officers?
No.
Oh ok. [editline]25th January 2012[/editline] Is there any way to train duty officers to bridge officers?
No, but there are some Doff missions that can net you a Boff.
Is there a way to upgrade a officers space ability? Like Torpedo: high yield I to like III?
Nope, if you want the upgraded version you'll need to replace another ability slot.
Nope, if you want the upgraded version you'll need to replace another ability slot.
Yeah I seen that, and I did since that slot was occupied by a cannon ability which doesn't affect my ship since I don't have cannons anyway
Well I'm still not sure I understand how the dilithium exchange works, but I did manage to get 25 Cryptic Points so I did something right. It's not much, but it's a start. At least dilithium isn't that hard to get. I also made Lieutenant Commander last night and got myself a new ship, a Saber class with red markings.
I love how even though leveling is pretty slow, it still feels fast, in the way that one mission levels me up, but completing the mission takes about 0,5-1,5 hours [editline]26th January 2012[/editline] feels really good for me, anyway
God i hope todays patch fixes the issue with abilities stopping working while in ground combat. I dislike ground combat enough as it is without having to restart the game every time it just stops working
My ship goes above warp 20 for some reason, does the borg stuff really do that much?
My ship goes above warp 20 for some reason, does the borg stuff really do that much?
Yes. You'll have to use your imagination for some canon-violating explanation, but the speed is kinda nice.
