great job on not reading like 3 posts above you. if i was in game i would be fake demoting you right now.
It's funny because I did read that post, that was were I got the link from in the first place. Bad short term memory I guess.
Been playing this for a bit over a day with a friend, and holy shit do I have no idea what I'm doing and am having fun for reasons I can't understand
That new dominion episodes, does anyone know what level you have to be on to play those?
That new dominion episodes, does anyone know what level you have to be on to play those?
IIRC, level 50.
Been playing this for a bit over a day with a friend, and holy shit do I have no idea what I'm doing and am having fun for reasons I can't understand
You in the fleet yet?
IIRC, level 50.
One of the devs said when he tested the mission he was Level 7 I'm guessing it will be level 6-7+ like all the other FEs were. Then when the first run is over then they're going to add it to the normal progression which would be sometime after March
Downloading now, I remember the beta space combat being good but the ground stuff really boring. How much of each do I have to do?
whats an easy way to level up im stuck on the story quests, i need to be a higher level to do the next one
Fleet actions, you'll get some good loot too. [editline]7th February 2012[/editline]
Downloading now, I remember the beta space combat being good but the ground stuff really boring. Wow, I really like this game. The space combat reminds me of EVE with more emphasis on placement, and performing broadsides is extremely satisfying. The ground stuff is a neat mix of MMO and third person shooter. Having a lot of fun right now.
Looks like the dev's are taking a page from TF2.
Starting after the maintenance this Thursday (February 9, 2012), a new item will begin dropping as loot in the game. This item is called a Cardassian Lock Box. When a Cardassian Lock Box is opened, it will grant the character that opens it a random reward. These rewards range from a rare starship, to some great new items. The possible rewards are:

To open one of the Lock Boxes, a character will also need an item called a Master Key. Master Keys can be purchased in the C-Store for 100 CP, or in a 10-pack for 900 CP. If you attempt to open a Lock Box without a Master Key, you will get a message explaining that you need one. If you have more than one Master Key, then only one key will be consumed each time you open a Lock Box.

A box with a Cardassian Galor class cruiser starship
Oh my god I want time to grind millions of dilithium
Great way for them to earn some extra money, and considering that CP can be easily bought now which is getting cheaper by the day, doesn't matter much.
Started playing for the first time and it seems alright. Flying a ship is pretty weird, though.
Hahahahahha, the STO forums are blazing with rage about the 'Master Key's' for the loot boxes! New players post character@handle for fleet invite.
Looks like the dev's are taking a page from TF2.
You can get Cryptic Points without paying for them with real money though, right? By exchanging dilithium for them? I know pretty much nothing about the game though, so correct me if I'm wrong.
Yeah but 1CP goes for about 190D in the market, though iirc it's expected to deflate quite a bit as time goes by.
You can get Cryptic Points without paying for them with real money though, right? By exchanging dilithium for them? I know pretty much nothing about the game though, so correct me if I'm wrong.
Yeah you can trade dilithium for C-Points
Yeah but 1CP goes for about 190D in the market, though iirc it's expected to deflate quite a bit as time goes by.
The pricing was around 250D when the F2P update came out.

Almost at max, who wants to do some of that endgame content I hear so much about with me? I'm Xanfall in game
I knew I'd see one of these eventually.
If a dev breathes on someone the wrong way they all start bitching. Eventually most of them get over it.
And those who quit over it, you probably don't want to play with anyway. :v:
I know that the Featured Episode event on the fleet says minimum of lvl 41 but anyone can come along and play. http://www.startrekonline.com/node/2866
This looks really intriguing. I wasn't interested when it first came out, but looking at it now, it seems really cool. I was never into star trek, but it seems good regardless.
Damnit, I bought a TOS constitution for some nostalgic feel, but now I wish I didn't because I would be able to unlock some useful stuff at that same cost.
[2:59] [Zone #9] Tudyk@norsegunnar: WTF...had a doff mission to Authorize shipboard concert....and they failed.....
How does that even work!.
