What are the cannons the defiant uses in the show? Are they even good?
They looked like phaser cannons IIRC.

The Defiant uses quad phaser canons, which you get with the Sao Paulo class. They're actually really powerful.
Hey, is there any torrent or alternative download for the patch? I have 2-3 Mb/s internet, but patching goes only a few Kb/s, It'll take hours at this rate.
no but i do remember a trick to fix it but I doubt it will work now
let me check for that fix.

Anyway, people tend to misunderstand the performance of their internet connection. You do not have a "1.5Mb connection", that's just the maximum speed your modem can do. Your connection is actually something slower than this, depending on a lot of complex factors, most notably how congested your ISP's network currently is. You also do not have the same kind of bandwidth to all parts of the world. Your ISPs peering arrangements are different and have different performance capabilities depending on where you are connecting to.
Also, the Cryptic patcher is far more sensitive to latency than maximum bandwidth, and Cryptic's network pipe reportedly never goes over about 2/3 of its capacity, at peak. It's not overloaded, except for a few days just after the season 2 release when they had issues with the new patching technology (which was something else entirely).
You are on your own the hosts file fix does not work anymore
Good God. People just can't figure out how to NOT DEPLOY MINES.
Ok I am not going to be on today but here is the deals
If you deposit 1.3 million EC into the fleet bank, you can get your own tab in the fleet bank for whatever the hell you want to do with it. All you have to do is throw the money in and send me a mail in game saying that you did it and the stardate that is listed in the log so I can look it up later. Now it is going to be on the honor system as it will be locked to senior members and me so keep a eye on the log whenever you see shit missing you bitch at them.
also im cleaning out that first tab again later this weekend because you fucks keep tossing shit in but never take shit out. If you dont want it and want it sold, throw it in the sell slot.
Also, if you downloaded STO after F2P it now uses the "Pando Media Booster". people are known to have issues with it.

Are you kidding me? Pando Media Booster is a fucking piece of shit that can fuck up your internet connection. Also it runs in the background always, literally always, it does not stop.
Isn't Crystalline Catastrophe renown for being ridiculously difficulty and buggy
Are you kidding me? Pando Media Booster is a fucking piece of shit that can fuck up your internet connection. Also it runs in the background always, literally always, it does not stop.
Evidence to backup your claim? I never once had a problem with Pando in the 6 years using it, plus you can turn it off when ever you want.
The entirety of the APB thread was going on about PMB and how removing it reduced latency to near zero levels
Evidence to backup your claim? I never once had a problem with Pando in the 6 years using it, plus you can turn it off when ever you want.
When g1 first switched to pmb and i installed the update, i soon lost all network traffic, had to remove pmb to get it back. I don't know if stupid stuff like this has been fixed but it has been a complete bitch for me in the past. it's also ridiculous that the service isn't stopped by itself when the download is done.
Alright, left the comp on all day and night to download, only 48% done, please someone upload the files if you can its FTP so it's legal, and if I cant get this, no more Star Trek for me.

-snip, no one is interested-
Sometimes I spend an hour just looking through all the paid uniforms, wishing I had enough dilithium to buy them. Especially WoK and all the Jupiter outfits, they make great Admiral uniforms.
Alright, well they answered my support ticket, saying to clear my entire live folder, and now its going the usual 3-5 Mb/s time to get back to enjoying this amazing MMO.
The lifeform in this TNG Episode appears to be the same as the Gekli in Star trek online.
By shape atleast.

It is the same.
I sure love patching at 0bytes/s.
I haven't got anything good out of the two lock boxes I've had so far and now I'm all out of C-point's.

DUKAT: I've been waiting for this moment for five years. :v:
And in all seriousness, yes. Quite.
I'm not a Trekkie. Would this game still be for me or would I have some serieses to watch?
I'm not a Trekkie. Would this game still be for me or would I have some serieses to watch?
I've got friends playing who have never watched Trek before and love the game.
Actually one of them started watching Deep Space Nine the other day due to STO.
Disconnects out of fucking nowhere and now I have to re do the mission because of that.
and there's a fucking queue.
Best
Mission
Ever/
I loved it, one of the longer missions
[editline]11th February 2012[/editline]
the Full Auto rifle reward is part of a set, I'll need to re-play the mission and grab it.
The mission itself was great, but I didn't like the voice acting that much, at some point I'd rather just put them off and just read the text.
Which is possible so I can't complain much, looking forward to the next episode.
voice acting was better then the previous series
