Seriously, it's messed up. Everybody on the forum's going nuts. To add to the mess, I(representing the fleet I am a member of, the Second Fleet) and all the other fleets are pissed off because Cryptic hasn't reserved our Fleet slots for the game.

In everything I've read, they made it very clear that nothing in the beta is guaranteed or will be carried forwards to the main game on release.

Not the point, the devs confirmed that the final game won't have slot reservation. So we're all kinda pissed.

Worth a purchase, just gotta figure out how to make it with out making it as demanding like crysis.
If Codemasters isn't getting lawsuits for False Advertising, then this game isn't going to bring them in either. Beta's are Betas and are always subject to change on the fly by the Devs, and that's how it is, and that's how they've always been. Even with Freebie MMO's

It technically wasnt news because you could basically figure it out from when they said when they get all the subs in and when the game will be released.
Bullshit tbh, I brought the Champions Online 6 month sub soley so I could get into the closed beta and they've cheated me out of it :/

Yea I dont see alot of 12 year olds playing this game.
It really let me down when I found out everyone was going to be a Captain. I'm just tired of always being "The Hero/Chosen One" in games.
I want to be a lowly Romulan Ale smuggler and have my own little cruddy ship that is barely being held together by strings, traversing from star station to star station cheating crews out of their money with over priced supplies.

I don't see why so many people think this is a good idea. It would be so fucking boring. Just think, would you rather be one of a few hundred people running around doing mundane jobs or would you want to have free will in what you do?
