oh earth spacedock looks so different, still not gotten anywhere. So much shit to look at compared to release. Kinda want to play again but damn I feel like I would grasp everything better if I started over, unsure if worth it, clicked a load of shit that appeared as I logged in. Apparently I'm 44 and had the 2 escorts that were at level cap at release. Just curious to how long it takes to get to that point again because I'm unsure what to skill etc... which I get often when trying to go back to an MMO that has changed a lot since the last time I played. Just kinda need pointing in the right direction really.
Leveling in this game is extremely easy. DOFFing (duty officers), missions, dailies, etc. [editline]7th October 2012[/editline] FUN FACT: The chimara is a design from Viktor (aka Jason Lee) he created for Design The Enterprise. I remember doing that 60 day trial and getting bored after two weeks when I hit the level cap and all. Is it still that fast? Also is DOFFing just doing assignments that your bridge officers give you?

They literally only exist to run and grab your coffee or fetch that data sample you needed. You gain dosh, exp, title points, and can get some interesting items from it as well. There is no reason to not be running DOFFs. Grab em, give em jobs, go do other stuff. They'll report back when done.

With all the stuff that exists now to get XP you get to the lvl cap in no time but most of the content in the game is end-game content with fleets and stf's which need you to be lvl 50 to enjoy. [editline]8th October 2012[/editline] I'm pretty sure I just saw some role players on Dronza Station doing a porno in the bar

That new ship just looks odd to me. The saucer seems extremely short and as if it should be taller.

I wish I knew how to get this music as the start up music instead of the cheesy kind of stuff we have right now - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MMQvNA_tMc&feature=BFa&list=SP0A0060C1F1473AE9
haha I was just on that channel listening to the Armada 2 music he just uploaded.
Stalwart is my hero, I love all the old Interplay music he put up like Starfleet Command and New Worlds. It also makes me sad that STO didn't get a musician that knew anything about how to make good Trek music and instead we've got some generic and pretty boring tracks that don't feel like Trek or even being that good for game music. It's bad for game immersion.
I wish we could choose from each of the series' opening themes for when we start the game. I'd have to go with Voyager. TNG is good, but I think Voyager's theme fits better.
TNG technically has 2...right?
They revamped the visuals, but the music was the same.
DS9 had two. I'm in love with the 1K Ship. Chimera
Same, Lotus is the best power.
http://sto.perfectworld.com/blog/?p=709721
Into the Hive Over the past year, the Borg have been threatening the very existence of many species in the galaxy. Their advancements in the Gamma Orionis Sector Block have cost the Federation and Klingon Defense Force countless lives, but resistance has proved not to be as futile as the Borg would have liked. The nanovirus discovered at Starbase 82 (“Infected”) by Task Force Omega, along with the counteragent that was developed based on data found in the Vorn System (“The Cure”), has helped turn the tides of war. Also, the events in the Quadra Sigma System (“Khitomer Accord”) have helped prove that the Borg attacks on the Vega Colony were mere attempts at trying to alter the timeline to give them the upper hand. While Task Force Omega has been victorious thus far, the Borg threat remains, and a final battle must be won. All these events now lead to the culmination of the fight against the Borg advancement in our upcoming Special Task Force (STF) mission, Into the Hive. In this new STF, players will infiltrate Unimatrix 01, the heart of the Borg Collective and the home of the Borg Queen. Incoming message from Task Force Omega… Captain, our agents have discovered the location of a Borg Unimatrix. We managed to get a probe into the area, and before the Borg destroyed it, the readings indicated that the Queen's vessel was in the area. A small strike team is being assembled because they stand a higher chance of infiltrating the Borg defenses than an attack fleet does. This is the best opportunity we're going to have to take the fight directly to the Collective. I want you to infiltrate the Unimatrix with a small team and defeat the Borg Queen! Once you have penetrated to the heart of Unimatrix 01, the first thing you will need to do is defeat the drones connected to Central Plexus Node relays that give the Queen unfettered access to the rest of the Borg fleet. Once you have done that, you can upload a fractal virus to the Collective that will disrupt her communications with the rest of the Collective. We'll keep the sensors locked onto your position and alert you to hidden dangers, as well as send you more information as it becomes available. Good luck. To participate, use the PvE Queue to join either a public or private queue. Into the Hive is a ground mission that is available in two difficulty modes: Normal and Elite. This event is always available, but if you play during certain hourly events (calendar updates to be announced at a later date) you will earn even more rewards. Into the Hive is available to both Federation and Klingon players and is targeted at 5-person groups. You must be a Vice Admiral or Lieutenant General to participate. We’ll see you in-game and in the queues for Into the Hive when it launches with Season 7! Chris Dods Content Designer Star Trek Online
Wow... finally they implement the Borg queen? That took 'em long enough.
Ground mission only. How dare they.
Woooow. Signed on for the first time since Feb. I got cleaned out. Cleaned. Out. My creds are gone, ship is stripped, everything of value from the fleet bank (that I had full access to) is gone. Aegis shield, gone. What is odd though, is the data samples (and my personal bank in general) were left untouched, which suggests that I wasn't hacked and stripped... I had a good number of uncommon unreps in there... And just in general a crapton of data samples. Buuut yeah, gone. Cleaned. Stripped. Stuck in a ticket for it, hope something can come of it. Goddamnit.
How many uncommon? I'll give you a good deal (if i can remember correctly, they aren't bound)
5 uncommon currently. Market average seems about 160k I wonder if they've responded to my ticket yet.
I'm in fucking love with the Chimera.
