I'm pretty sure a member here on facepunch is deliberately targeting Biotics server for griefing because he/she thinks it hilarious to constantly do it over and over while Biotic keeps resetting.

Okey dokes, the Crystal Balls won't destroy blocks; they'll only deal AoE damage like grenades usually do. Still dangerous, but not a structural hazard to your base.

Best way I've found to dig hellstone is to use the buildings as a lava drain. this way you don't need potions and your safe from bats and demons.
I've gotten full hallow on 2 chars now. The second one I skipped hellstone other then the pickaxe and it went well
I'm currently trying a medium core char but I'm a bit weary of trying hardcore as much as I've died with my other2
Has anyone played through hardcore Mode with a med or hardcore character?
Hardcore is just character spamming to me. I make a new one, make some progress, die and repeat. If you plan on doing that, keep in mind that on any time, you could suddenly loose everything.
Also, both biotic's servers went kapoof for me.

The more altars you break, the more appear.
Cobalt I believe appears everywhere. Mythril somewhat deeper, and Adamantite only in the most lower levels.
It's not much different from other ores, really.
I'd advise to try break as many altars as possible, before you really go searching for new ores.

Agreed, I broke about 10 before I started looking and now it's everywhere. It's literally become more common than copper on my world.
