I'd say being an asshole is more of a factor than boredom, it takes a real asshole to grief because he's bored.
Or a lazy person. If you have nothing better to do than play on the server, then you don't feel like closing the game, you just feel like keep playing until it runs you mad.
Still, I haven't found the reason for dynamite spamming. I mean, who would buy a lot of dynamite just to blow other people's shit up (except for Blanca and the hallow of course :v:).

TShock is pretty fun on a private server with people you can trust not to abuse the commands. Other than that there's nothing other than some textures packs and nothing so far that actually adds anything to the game.

There are lots of gameplay mods,such as Omnir's mods which add a whole lot of fantasy monsters(dragons,orcs,giant spiders,trolls,all sorts of crazy shit)based off of the monsters from Tibia Online and a bunch of new weapon types(really retarded looking scythes,katanas,claymores,all sorts of shit).
