hardmode bosses will blow you the fuck away
The Destroyer will mechanically screw your eyeballs out of their sockets
The Twins will rape you with flames n' wizard spells
Skeletron Prime, well, is just plain easy. Pussymode shit.
I beat Skeletron Prime with a copper shortsword.

Is the Wall of Flesh that hard to beat? I mean, I've tried him when I accidentally let a a Voodoo Demon drop his doll into lava. Scared the fuck out me.

He is really easy with the right preparations, just make sure you have anything obtainable in normal mode before you beat him because after that it gets hard to get them.
Do falling stars still do huge amounts of damage when they hit something? I was fighting the Eye on the roof of my building and a falling star hit him and it didn't do that much damage.

They do insane amounts of damage. Depends on the defense of the mob, but usually ranges from 400-900 on normal bosses
What a coincidence. I was fighting the Eye of Cthulhu and a star fell on him. Although he was already lingering on around 200 HP, the star did roughly around 900 damage.

The twins are the only boss I'd really consider all that difficult.

The chance of hitting a dungeon is likely especially on a small world. I've had seven worlds that had meteors hit dungeons.

It was a large world.
Somebody should host a server.
Why is this funny
Bought this game for my friend (He wanted me to buy it for him). He said he got bored of it because it was a two dimensional game with shitty graphics.
Took 10 bucks out of his wallet.
i've had a meteor hit my dungeon, what was even weirder is it was partially buried in a hill, C-3PO, what are the odds of a meteor getting through the ground and STILL striking the dungeon?

Burn him NOW
Terraria could actually use some texture-arrangements, especially when there's a one-grass block against wood(and how it doesn't fucking match up against it leaving white sky-empty spots all over)
Indeed; more transition-textures could be handy. There's one for wood-into-dirt, so why not grass-into-wood or wood-into-stone?
Also has anybody heard ANYTHING new from the devs, or are they still quiet?

I would've just told the guy I'd never buy him another game. But then again in my case it means something while that's not necessarily the same for you cause I tend to gift friends games too often.

Is there a way to get rid of my guide? He is fucking retarded. I built him a nice house, but when night comes he feels like it is a good idea to exit his house, go to my house, open all the doors, and let all the zombies inside. It is driving me nuts. Why can't he just stand in his spot like a normal NPC?
[editline]9th February 2012[/editline]
Thank god, now he is just pacing back and forth on the roof of his house. While slightly disconcerting, it is a whole lot less annoying.
Did you use the housing menu to mark his house as his? If not then that's likely the problem.

Housing menu....
I've never heard of it. I got the game less than a week ago and the wiki never said anything about marking houses!
Yeah, there's this house icon in the part of the menu around the equippables bit. Click it and you activate the housing menu, which contains icons pertaining to all current NPCs. Click the Guide icon, then click in the house, and the Guide'll move in there.
You may also need to check if your house is suitable; it needs to be big enough, have the right bits and bobs inside (chair, table, light source), and the back walls need to be complete. A door is also important.

Now that I go back to the wiki, it is now talking about housing icons and crap. It also had a picture of a basic home that I was using to make the house and apparently that is far too small(and it's also not there anymore). So I made the house bigger, and used the marker and now the guide is safe and sound not letting zombies tromp my shit all night.
Thanks!
No problem.
Also, i've just realised an issue that has been in plain sight for quite a while; inventory management. Currently we have the bin function, which allows us to get rid of mostly useless things like stacks of dirt or stone (they might be worth their weight in gold in the desert-regions of the world, but they sell for nothing in Terraria), but still there are apparent issues with it. I don't know whether it's to do with the amount of space, or if it needs an auto-sorting system akin to Dungeons of Dredmor, but apparently the inventory is missing a certain something that I can't quite put my finger on.
Do any of you guys see anything wrong with the inventory other than size and inability to auto-sort?

I want to set certain items to not be picked up. It's annoying when you're mining and you get a ton of shit you don't want and have to protect yourself while you trash bin the shit
You can set in the options to auto-pause the game while the inventory menu is open.
I personally don't like it, but it's a good break from the action while you take the time to assort your backpack.
Also, I want more backpack space.
Hmmm, those seem valid. So basically an anti-cluttering system whereby you can set your inventory to not pick things up, so you can avoid acquiring too much stone or dirt. Perhaps by putting the unwanted things in question into certain "rejection" slots, you could ensure that you don't pick those items up.
Somebody get me Re-Logic's email, this needs implementation for 1.2!

Very useful for being able to respond to people sending you messages too. Responding to people on multiplayer, especially on hard mode, though is a bit of an art.

I just wish instead of being a storing item, the trashcan could store your newly thrown away items. Also, I wish there were a buyback option from NPCs, like if you sell them something, exit the dialog and go back to the shop, they could sell your item back in another tab called "buyback". The price would be based on the base price you could buy it back for plus the time which passed since you sold it.
A player trading system would also be nice, so we didn't have to throw items into each others faces.

Several times I've accidentally sold the wrong item and had to go remake molten picks or worse.
I was thinking about it if you sold an item you thought was useless, but suddenly it shows up to be useful later in the game.
