Yeah I can't really complain, for like $10 I clocked some serious hours in this.
He doesn't really need to do that when you can easily reverse engineer the executable and get the general source code from there, that's how people have been making mods and shit.
Having the actual code would make mods much better though. They'd be more easily compatible and the community could set up some sort of mod API.
Woah that was unexpected, was just the other day I was reading about all the cool shit they might add like weather and stuff. Here's hoping they will pass on the source code so we can get more updates :)
Here's hoping. Those who want a bit of background on GaslampGames, for those who don't know, they made Dungeons of Dredmor.
I love Dungeons of Dredmor, so hopefully Gaslamp'll be good to take the reins.
If GasLamp take over and keep the same sprite style graphics, this will be good...
If GasLamp take over and keep the same sprite style graphics, this will be good...
Not all spriters sprite the same; and we can't expect it to be in the style. I think we should be grateful that GasLamp is willing to take over production.
Terraria dies and the thread lives. Oh, the morbid irony.
I can't believe some of you are actually complaining and asking for refunds(DJ), you need to learn that there are more important things in life than satisfying the wants of some guys over the internet, having a child is way more important than what you want. Get over it, you got way more than your moneys' worth.
You know how some people are. They have the need to feel entitled to everything just because the developer used the word "promised".
You know how some people are. They have the need to feel entitled to everything just because the developer used the word "promised".
A promise is an obligation. If you break a promise your word means nothing.
A promise is an obligation. If you break a promise your word means nothing.
What exactly did they promise?
What exactly did they promise?
To keep adding on to the game. And as it is, they've seemingly left the game in quite an unfinished state. It doesn't exactly have any sort of endgame whatsoever. It just kinda peters out after fighting the three hard mode bosses.
Aw come on man. I had HUGE hopes for Terraria. Planet exploration, NPC villages, huge boss fights. It was like seeing a pinecone grow into a tree, and now he won't even water it. I hope he at least leaves mod tools.
Some things are more important than keeping a promise you made over the internet.
over the internet.
Why did you even feel the need to specify this? That's retarded. The medium a promise is made through is totally irrelevant. You keep your promises. Period. If you don't then your word means nothing. I refuse to give my money to someone who won't keep to their word. Someone whose word means nothing is not trustworthy.
I guess we will just have to look to the stars...
Why did you even feel the need to specify this? That's retarded. The medium a promise is made through is totally irrelevant. You keep your promises. Period. Someone whose word means nothing is not trustworthy.
Your loss then, you can't keep all your promises, if you want to get a refund or not purchase the game because the devs stopped working on it then that's your loss, you people need to learn there are more important things than what you want, get over it. [editline]21st February 2012[/editline] You guys seriously couldn't have thought they'd actually continue churning out new content updates, that's incredibly unrealistic.
To keep adding on to the game. And as it is, they've seemingly left the game in quite an unfinished state. It doesn't exactly have any sort of endgame whatsoever.
A promise is an obligation. If you break a promise your word means nothing.
Welcome to the internet, where promises don't mean anything unless specified in a Terms of Agreement.
Why did you even feel the need to specify this? That's retarded. The medium a promise is made through is totally irrelevant. You keep your promises. Period. Guys; we are all retarded here. Let's just continue discussion and hope this thread doesn't die into the depths of the underworld.
Onyx I promise you I'll rape and murder your mom while you're forced to watch, then I'll go to you, but keep you alive. I promise you this, friend. [editline]21st February 2012[/editline] herp derp (User was banned for this post ("Shitpost" - Craptasket))
To keep adding on to the game. And as it is, they've seemingly left the game in quite an unfinished state. It doesn't exactly have any sort of endgame whatsoever. It just kinda peters out after fighting the three hard mode bosses.
So, they added a massive update for free, that added a TON of content to the game and you're not satisfied? Would it be better if the game just cut to credits after you kill all the hard mode bosses and go, that's it. No more.
aw fuck.... hopefully they pass it on to those other guys
Your loss then, you can't keep all your promises
No. You can. You just have to actually give a shit about them. And no, I don't want a refund. Instead I'll just not buy anything else from Re-Logic.
The game feels pretty finished to me, but we all have opinions, don't we? Yet you bought Terraria right?
If they at least added a hard mode replacement for Wall of Flesh it would feel far more finished to me. I did. Because Redigit promised to keep updating the game.
I seriously don't understand your guys' train of thought, the game feels pretty finished to me, I'm very satisfied with my 100 hours of playing for only $10(That's more than most games I've played), I'm not disappointed or angry that Redigit decided to stop working on Terraria.
Onyx I promise you I'll rape and murder your mom while you're forced to watch, then I'll go to you, but keep you alive. I promise you this, friend. [editline]21st February 2012[/editline] herp derp
Now you're just acting like an idiot. Would it be better if the game just cut to credits after you kill all the hard mode bosses and go, that's it. No more.
There should be an actual endgame at the very least. Sure people should still be allowed to play after that but at this point it just randomly ends after beating the hard mode bosses. There's no final boss or anything like that.
Onyx I promise you I'll rape and murder your mom while you're forced to watch, then I'll go to you, but keep you alive. I promise you this, friend. [editline]21st February 2012[/editline] herp derp
Way to stay on a mature level. On topic: It's sad to see Terraria to had lost all that potential, but I'll just get Starbound. That looks like it will be good.
Now you're just acting like an idiot.
Wow, you're an asshole. I'm making a valid point and you call me an idiot? You're the idiot here. Get over yourself and this self entitlement thing you have going on, deal with it and move on, raging on facepunch isn't going to make Redigit work on the game again. [editline]21st February 2012[/editline] so much rage on onyx's part its fucking hilarious [editline]21st February 2012[/editline] keep it goin man
Wow, you're an asshole. I'm making a valid point and you call me an idiot? You're the idiot here. ... raging on facepunch isn't going to make Redigit work on the game again.
First off I'm not raging. I'm stating my opinion on the matter. Secondly I called you an idiot because that's not a valid point in any way. You were just trying to be an asshole.
Get over yourself and this self entitlement thing you have going on, deal with it and move on,
It's not self entitlement to hold someone to their word. I don't break my promises, period. I've literally gotten in a fist fight with my ex-stepdad over him trying to force me to break a promise just to be an asshole. I expect others to keep their word too.
Too bad for you, then. [editline]21st February 2012[/editline] And yes it is a valid point. I made a promise, but I can't keep it.
I don't see why people are upset, it's 10 dollars for like, hourssss of gameplay. They updated it, added substantial things like 3 times. I'm happy! I'll play it again
