I doubt anyone's going to bother hosting public servers anymore. The best you could hope for is to try and gather a few friends together and host your own.

It wouldn't be bad if you know; Red; just like; released very few content updates(as in, just a few new items) every month or so; up to the release of Starbound.
maybe do a pre order deal, get exclusive starbound DLC for terraria.

Starbound may be pretty awesome; something I might consider. But the main question is this; will Starbound include multiplayer like Terraria?

Well that's good, since it'll give TB and Jesse something to circulate to after they finish Terraria. That is, if TB's willing to go through a similar experience after all those episodes with Jesse.
