ugh fucking totalbiscuit
What's wrong with him? I dearly enjoy his 'WTF is-' series, introduced me to a lot of good games.
such a prick [editline]10th September 2012[/editline] anyway that's offtopic
Another post, this time with a picture.
Not exactly sure what to expect, but hell it's convenient if it's an update because I just remembered I bought this ages ago and never played it. Now it's the time, I suppose.
Wait guys what if what if the blue and red fighting and all that was a clever thought out ploy and Red was working on a HUGE fucking update while we weren't playing? That means a whole new player base could be founded, seeing as they sold Terraria earlier for like 66% off.
What about that other game Redigit announced he was working on shortly after announcing he was done with Terraria so he could spend time with family?
Just had a thought. What if they're adding a new section, like last time they added the whole hard mode with the hollow and shit. Maybe they're doing something like that with more bosses and shit.
this is like episode 3 all over again
Steam Workshop would be hugely appreciated. Maybe an iPad port though, I can see that.
Maybe an iPad port though, I can see that.
I hope not, that would be such a fucking letdown. :v:
If it's a port to Android or iOS devices, I won't really care about the update tbh. I'm hoping it's a huge amount of new shit or maybe modding tools. Either way a port for it would be pointless.
Yes, new stuff and modding API would breathe much-needed life back into Terraria. Personally, I might sound like a nerd when I say this, but one thing that'd help the game world would be more lore and character development, like you could actually have conversations with the various NPCs and develop some semblance of friendship or camaraderie with them, learning their stories, tales of folklore, that kinda stuff. And whilst i'm at it i'd like them acting as "traveling companions" that go with you, plus they could actually respawn if they have a bed in their rooms. Even if that stuff isn't in vanilla, a modding API could allow gamers to make a mod about that. Regardless, I still feel that the game world needs more lore and context; what happened to the cities and civilization for instance? I'd like to imagine the Nurse once worked at some hospital before whatever outbreak of undeath started turning people into zombies, and that the Dryad was sent to the Land by the Council of Druids to investigate the recent disruptions in "the Balance" between the forces of Light and Dark. Final thought; some kind of actual city to visit, even as a zombie-infested ruin dominated by the Spider Queen.
This game definitely need modding API.
I miss listening to ironman's ideas in these threads. They were so well thought out and actually pretty fun. :v:

hope it's something great!
whacked it in auto level ,got this
Shit yeah. Well, a couple of hours left i guess.
whacked it in auto level ,got this
The Terraria part seemed reasonably obvious to me even before that. I'm kinda rather curious why it was all dark like that though. If it's a game update, I wonder if it's not some under-underworld or a dark world or something.
Personally, I hope for an epic boss battle with the Spider Queen, set up after you accidentally open her tomb at the bottom of the Dungeon and let loose Spiders into the dark with their deep red eyes and skittering legs. You'd need to search the world for her, following the trail of webs and hollow corpses, until you find some sort of Temple-like place where she dwells inside. That's what Terraria seems to be built around; building up a village and hunting dangerous monsters, and it needs more of both, more NPCs flocking to your growing village, more interaction with your resident allies, having them being able to defend themselves, even being able to bring them with you on your journeys; I wanna battle some sort of Blighted Audrey with the Dryad using the Gaiathorn to rip fools up with a divine thorny yo-yo.
I see what look like giant amanitas, some smaller mushrooms and a flying purple face. Dunno about the picture though.
ACSI Version of Terraria?
I see a guy kitted out in a robe and wizard hat using his magic wand to transform some stone blocks into copper ore.
Wait shit there's going to be something big coming? Hope it doesn't come out while I'm at school.
I'm starting to hope that it's some kind of city or something. I'd like a nice set of city ruins on the surface which lead underground, maybe with some kind of story as you go through the ruins? Like how the people died, what happened, just different kind of fun info about the place or something. Or, like ironman kinda says, some kind of monster hunting would be fun. Maybe a hunter NPC who gives you small jobs like kill so many demons and collect their wings or something like that to earn a bit of money or some nice items? I'm way too excited about this, no doubt I'll get let down horribly.
I want mod tools, that way we get EVERYTHING!
Some more because we clearly can't wait a few hours until it's released/announced to find out. [editline]11th September 2012[/editline] a larger one because why not http://i.imgur.com/0IdDV.png
My guess is that Redigits cash is running low. If this is a new update i'll be glad, I could see it being a sequel or ios/android port though.
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-09-11-terraria-heading-to-psn-and-xbla-early-next-year Welp. 505 is helping publish this, 505 has never published a good game
