The FB post does mention new stuff coming along. Here's to hoping it actually makes it to PC though; but again, I don't see why they wouldn't bring it over. Otherwise, I'll be very displeased for that huge tease :(.

Well Redigit isn't the smartest guy really. He is the guy who tried to wipe all existence of his previous game off the internet and lied about the reason. He's also the same guy who announced he was dropping Terraria to spend time with his family then announced he was working on a new game less than two weeks later. He's not very good at all with the publicity side of things.

Maybe it's an issue with some of us not being console gamers? The only console I own is an SNES and it sure the hell ain't being ported to that. Why would I be interested in this at all? Let alone with the hype Redigit was trying to build over this?

I think it's more the fact that. We all got really excited with the idea that we'd have a load of new content for a game deemed dead development wise. Especially as most people REALLY enjoyed all the content that game with the last BIG update ages ago which breathed new life into the game.
I personally was hoping for new bosses, items and ores and I'm sure many others did too.
Only to find out all it was, is a Console port. So you can kinda see why people feel a bit pissed off.

When the main user base is on PC it doesn't make much sense to port to consoles (controller would be a joke) if all you need to do is create one huge ass content pack and have that as a small price dlc for the game, but no, that's too much to ask for.

Damn fucking right it's boo hoo. Then suddenly we all get a sudden beacon of light thinking. Finally we get something new. We can replay this great game and discover new things and enjoy more time in it. To find out, it's the same game, and they port it to a console just to milk more money.
But ofcourse, silly me for expecting something for the money I paid.
Well, it was fun while it lasted. I was really hoping for mod tools, as they would have brought back life into the game. My question is, who asked for Terraria on consoles? I don't think it was exactly in high demand. Also, this isn't exactly what I call dropping the game to spend time with family.

Not at all. But a bit more than just a couple updates would be nice. I'm not saying I want CONSTANT updates, but one now and then, rather than devs saying. We don't care now we have your money.

90%+ of people who would buy it have it on PC. it would be alot harder to control on a console so would not be as good an experience. the only way it could possibly be better is easier server setup.
look at minecraft on the 360. an incredibly watered down version of the pc game, no modability, none persistant multiplayer worlds because its just a listen server.

it's not watered down, it's just not updated all the way. and some people enjoy playing splitscreen with friends or just over the xbox. I find it pretty fun actually, very easy way to make a server for me and 7 other friends, in fact I did that the other day and it was more fun than it would've been on the PC.

Stop hating on consoles, they are extremely fun and I can see this done on a console. I personally would've been more happy if he did what 90% of the community wanted and kept updating the game and/or providing modding API, but the idiocy behind this update is not the update itself but the fact that they decided to just ignore what 90% of the community wanted and go on with the random idea to port. I don't even believe there was any following for this at all.

They released a shit-ton of good content for free, stop acting so entitled. Hyping up the news of the console port was dumb though, I don't blame them for porting it though, they're an indie dev it's not like they have bucketloads of cash.
At least i didn't really get hyped as it was only one day of waiting. They probably knew people would be pissed off if they built up a bunch of anticipation to release a console port.

I really hope the new content arrives on the PC, even if it is a DLC.
They're getting loads of flak already, so if they were to make the new stuff console exclusive they'd never hear the end of it.

What do you mean gave us a few things then ran? The company does not have to give you free content after release, the only updates that they should release are bugfixes. Free content after release is a gift, not a requirement.
