Still hoping this new stuff will make it's way over to pc, paid dlc or otherwise. I know you guys gotta offer some incentive for new customers, but we pc gamers are like family dogs. Give us a few bacon scraps and we'll love you for life.

For anyone that really cares that much about Terraria anymore: http://www.terrariaonline.com/threads/something-about-a-possible-pc-update.95324/
oh god i hope he makes good on this
The braindead choice would be to export the console's new content to PC, considering that, you know, PC is where it all started for them.
oh god i hope he makes good on this
Seeing as this is Redigit I'm expecting nothing but we can be hopeful at least.

I'm still happy to see that he will most likely do a PC update. Because of how he worded it, it seems like he is already planning one.
Redigit leaves nearby me somewhere, his name shows up on 3 listings in local pages.

Especially "new" music, I always loved indie game's cheap and simple music, I listened for Terraria soundtrack for hours, but this... edit: Uh, okay, whatver, I can always change it back by mods... I hope
I really wonder how they will pull off the controls on consoles. I can't imagine it by looking at the trailer.
Twin Stick Obviously. Left stick to move, right stick to aim, left or right trigger to jump and place selected item, L1/R1 or L/R bumper to switch between items, ect. It's easy to see how it would work.

I'm just happy that it's been looked at again by a developer.
The new final boss is just another upgraded version of Skeletron, calling it.
Anyone know of any good mods?

Perhaps they simplify it in some way. I can understand that Minecraft works well, the blocks are huge but this game is consisted by tons of small items and blocks.
I wonder how they would be able to flip switches.
why do I have the feeling that if he were to release a huge update for terraria on PC, he would actually make MORE money than porting to xbox
why do I have the feeling that if he were to release a huge update for terraria on PC, he would actually make MORE money than porting to xbox
Imagine the cost of the port, you have to pay a large fee to get it to the Xbox Live Story. It's certainly not a minor investement for ReLogic. Anyway, I hope he has some success. Also I just defeated the Eye of Cthulhu with a friend, we got decent armor and weapons. What is the next step to do? We always die in hell and I figured that we need shadow orbs in order to get better gear. Also what vital ressources in hell?

Go beat the Devourer of Souls in the Corruption and bust shadow orbs for gear. Then Skeletron at the dungeon entrance, and go through there for some extra stuff. For hell, - just hell, not the Wall of Flesh - you'll want some Obsidian Skin Potions. Mine up the Hellstone and craft gear out of that. That'll take you plenty of time, but after that comes the Wall of Flesh fight.
So guys. -LATESNIP- Redigit had a change of heart. Sorry if I'm late, tried to crawl facepunch using google looking for the link and didn't see it. Edit: saw last page. Sorry.

I read that meteroite appears after breaking some shadow orbs. Also can the shadow orbs be harvested by normal hammers or do I need a special one?

Take your time and enjoy the game now because after hell it just becomes a frustrating mess and you may not want to play it anymore.

So my pal and I just left it for later. Now we are figuring what the fuck we should do next. We found the corruption but don't know how to approach it.

In fact, unless you have a Nightmare Pickaxe, you'll probably have to take some bombs or dynamite with you to get through the Ebonstone around it. Read the wiki's page on them (here) so you're ready for everything that comes from smashing them. I suggest finding a specific orb to be your 'last' orb, and setting an arena up to find the [del]Devourer[/del]Eater there, and then hunting two others. As for armor, for raw defense, yeah. You can farm the Eye of Cthulhu for Demonite Ore to get some slightly more powerful weapons, it might give you a bit of an edge when hunting orbs and fighting the Eater. Other than that, Meteorite gear is the first 'caster' gear available if you want to fight with MP. You end up with 6 less defense than full gold armor, though. So be careful with it.

Oh my god, yes.
