Sector Sweep is so awesome. Click here for the stereo version, which sounds much better and is an MP3.
Oh god yes, I love that song.
My favourite Half Life track is Diabolical Adrenaline. That made the airboat sequence to epic the first time I played... Scratch that, every time I play it...
actually it's titled Lambda Core in Half-Life 2 [editline]01:06PM[/editline] this isn't my favorite but i like it and it hasn't been posted, so, here it is. [editline]01:06PM[/editline]
I've always considered that to be the VALVe/Source theme, it plays in every Source game during the "made in the Source engine" screen. I could be wrong, though. :(
if i remember correctly, it was also in the VALVe intro for Half-Life
Half-life 16 (The one that played in the Episode 1 clip in the beginning of Episode 2, and in the Half life 2 battle at the lighthouse). That thing was EPEEEECK
Is that suitsong? Listen to Path of Borealis. I like Vortal combat and whatever HL1Song10 was (Helicopter chase) [editline]12:07PM[/editline] I've heard that before. And I don't think it's for/from HL2. Looking at description it was from JScoop, that makes sense. I played a lot of OC.
yeah it was from js_coop_quest_v9, a map by joescoma i would know because i uploaded it
Half-life 16 (The one that played in the Episode 1 clip in the beginning of Episode 2, and in the Half life 2 battle at the lighthouse). That thing was EPEEEECK
That's Nuclear Mission Jam And is also on Opposing Force when you go to that dark sewer I dunno about Blue Shift
That buggy looked silly...
i would KILL for that as a vehicle
Since when do art directors are responsible for music work? "That Long Train Ride" by DJ Dain is a remix of Triage at Dawn (also known as HL2_song23_SuitSong3), which was originally composed by Kelly Bailey.
Finlay somebody else who dose some research and uses common senses...
I always liked 'What Kind Of Hospital Is This?' But ironically I don't think the hospital was the best place for it.
Path to Borealis makes me think of Mirror's Edge song Something Beautiful..The Piano parts anyway.
I like "CP Violation", is awesome.
Out of all the people on Facepunch, I expected them to have the common sense, or at least experienced evidence that these "soundtracks" were fake. Jesus. The songs were fake and even one of the people in charge of repackaging the leak from Grigori's Forum admitted that he was young and decided to slam Viktor Antonov's name on. Not that the songs were bad in any way, but it's obviously a remix of a lot of songs, and most of those are the musics from Doom. And not to mention, Doom itself uses remixes to the songs back then.
Butthurter... your avatar...
He's getting fatter.
Triage at Dawn - is the shit (User was banned for this post ("Dumb bump" - Jaanus))
We don't know that the series will end at Ep3, just that the HL2 saga will. Damn. Didn't notice this was a bump.
Triage at Dawn - is the shit
Great bump.
We don't know that the series will end at Ep3, just that the HL2 saga will.
Actually, we just know that "The tale of Gordan Freeman will end" Cue Adrian Shepherd's big return!
I would love to have all the soundtracks organised on folders with name, tags and album pictures. Then upload it to my iPod and listen to it ALL DAY LONG
:D [editline]06:34PM[/editline] Im gonna miss half life 2 Saga :(
My favorite is Triage at Dawn. But yeah this should definitely be the credits song.
That song makes me shit tears... It's so sad...
Would be coo'.
This makes me wish Valve had a public download for the soundtracks :[
Tracking Device is the closest thing Half-Life has to a theme. It's the credits song from HL2, and it's a remix of the HL1 credits song. Since Half-Life 2: Episode Three is essentially the last part of Half-Life 3, I think Tracking Device, or a new version of it, should play in the credits again. Would be so epic.
Aside from the credits, where else would you put it? No doubt history is repeated, and Tracking Device would become tradition. However, why do I have the feeling it will be rock mixed with guitars, sort of like Ep2? Episode Two was something else, the music I mean. This change of direction was something else. Because it did not seem as dark, it seems like its not the same talent playing the music, and there was a lot of bass in that game, so hopefully by Episode Three, it goes back to normal. It just seems the arctic would take the music back to its roots. I can not recall a single movie that associates rock to the arctic. However, this music -sounds appropriate for the arctic environment, and with a guitar, so IDK. The thing is though, the Tracking Device songs were at the ends of the numerical versions. Ep3 is just the last chapter of HL2, not HL3. I would assume Tracking Device be used at the end of HL3, rather then Ep3, but then again, it may make sense. However, we know someone else major dies in Ep3, so maybe they will end on a sad note again, who knows. This anticipation is killing me!
Personally, I liked Episode 1+2's soundtracks better than HL2 and I hope Episode 3 keeps it up. Don't get me wrong, HL2 had a lot of really good tracks, but I prefer the Episodes' style. They're a bit more rock-ish, while HL2 itself is a little more techno.
This makes me wish Valve had a public download for the soundtracks :[
It's called look in the description.
'Nuff said.
Actually, we just know that "The tale of Gordan Freeman will end" Cue Adrian Shepherd's big return!
Yeah, But I don't know any Gordans so I don't care about it. In interview with Euro-Gamer when Doug was asked will there be Half-Life 3 he answered "We are thinking about it. But we are sure about one thing: Gordon's adventures will not end in EP3, get your crowbars ready!"
I approve of the OP's statement, but only if the third version links back to HL1 more. At the end of the game, you'd want people to Nostalgia back to what caused the entire saga. Which funnily enough happened to be Barney.
Near the end of Ep1, and throughout Ep2, the soundtrack has been noticably more "Rocky." If Ep3 ends with a Grand Finale sort of battle, the credits song will be the greatest thing ever.
Actually, we just know that "The tale of Gordan Freeman will end" Cue Adrian Shepherd's big return!
They never said that, fucksake Valve fans.
