I had no idea where to go at the end
you just have to kill all the enemies in the red circle, once the red circle is empty of enemies and the caches are destroyed, the ending activates very simple mission feel free to modify it or whatever if anyone wants to [editline]6th March 2013[/editline] i also made a funn little FFA where you only get claymores and c4 but respawning is broken atm and i can't figure out how to fix it
Not the island. I mean the "near future" setting. Nothing makes sense and I literally have to reeducate myself into learning things that don't exist. For example. It's not a TAR-21. It's a TAG-20 or some bullshit. Not only that but it's chambered in a bullshit round called 6.5mm instead of 5.56 NATO.
I remember arma 2 also had fictional names for guns, though to a lesser extent. I'm sure there will be authenticity mods out soon, just like arma 2.
I blew up little bird just as the server crashed. That mission is fun. gj Jerry
Wait...Am I missing something?
http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?147957-Steam-Guide-Opt-Into-the-Development-Build Its a development build of the alpha. Its updated more often.
Again, the setting as in the 'time' not the place. Island is pretty. It's the dumb stuff like the fact that the rifles have new made-up names (Like Call of Duty does), are 6.5mm and fire caseless ammunition. Like the R09 or whatever they call that pistol has a Glock image in your inventory (I assume it's a place holder, that's no big deal) but it's really a Walther P99 or something of that nature. Yeah, because caseless ammunition works. We know that from experience.. Right.. [t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/d/d4/G11_Schnittmodell.jpg/800px-G11_Schnittmodell.jpg[/t] Right?
I think it being in the future is fine, there will be modern day mods anyways. I miss my M16A4, but I like that they are doing a new thing. The G11 was from the 80's and technology always rolls on, I am sure they can fix it up in the future. The G11 has a strange mechanism as well.
For example. It's not a TAR-21. It's a TAG-20 or some bullshit. Not only that but it's chambered in a bullshit round called 6.5mm instead of 5.56 NATO.
well yeah it isn't a TAR-21 because it's being used by Iranians, and TAG-20 is very likely their name for it (like virtually every military that provides a named gun with a military name) as for the 6.5mm caseless (btw the g11 isn't the only weapon that fires caseless ammunition and mainly had problems due to it's expensive and complicated rounds), who says that it couldn't exist if one is to assume (as it seems to be) that 6.5mm caseless has replaced 5.56 NATO as the standard round for weapons, then obviously 5.56mm guns are going to be remanufactured (or start being manufactured, as it's likey that the TAG-20 is being manufactured by the Iranians by 2035) to take the new standard ammo woe is me for having to work out that (just like many other games) a gun doesn't have it's exact real life name
It'll be up in a sec titled "FACEPUNCH Let's Go" password will be "dicksdicks" no quotes of course
Still the same password? I'm getting connecting failed...
if one is to assume (as it seems to be) that 6.5mm caseless has replaced 5.56 NATO as the standard round for weapons, then obviously 5.56mm guns are going to be remanufactured (or start being manufactured, as it's likey that the TAG-20 is being manufactured by the Iranians by 2035) to take the new standard ammo
This, for a real life example the Israelis changed out the barrels for their Kar98k's for 7.62 nato ones.
Just got Arma 3, DAMN IT STEAM DOWNLOAD FASTER.
6.5mm is a real bullet
Yeah I know, the Grendal. I just don't think that caseless 6.5 is going to replace 5.56 and 7.62 within twenty years.
Still the same password? I'm getting connecting failed...
yes password/name is same
Yeah I know, the Grendal. I just don't think that caseless 6.5 is going to replace 5.56 and 7.62 within twenty years.
7.62 NATO is still used in ArmA 3 with the M14 EBR. There will probably be more weapons in the future that uses those two rounds, they just wanted to get the main faction weapons out for the alpha probably.
yes password/name is same
Well I was postcert and I'm still having connection issues. Guess I'm unlucky
well yeah it isn't a TAR-21 because it's being used by Iranians, and TAG-20 is very likely their name for it (like virtually every military that provides a named gun with a military name) as for the 6.5mm caseless (btw the g11 isn't the only weapon that fires caseless ammunition and mainly had problems due to it's expensive and complicated rounds), who says that it couldn't exist if one is to assume (as it seems to be) that 6.5mm caseless has replaced 5.56 NATO as the standard round for weapons, then obviously 5.56mm guns are going to be remanufactured (or start being manufactured, as it's likey that the TAG-20 is being manufactured by the Iranians by 2035) to take the new standard ammo woe is me for having to work out that (just like many other games) a gun doesn't have it's exact real life name
Well, now if we're going to attempt to validate the change in ammunition and the change over of current weapon platforms to these, we can also examine WHY. For example, why would the Iranians import/produce Israeli weapons? As we know, Iran and Israel hate one another and I doubt Iran would want to issue their troops with a Jewish rifle. They'd have a mutiny over something like that.
I can't really run the game on an i5 3.67 ghz quadcore and my 5850. I saw someone said they were running it fine on a 5770, which is a worse card. Does that mean my processor isn't sufficient, or is something else going on?

does anybody know the item code for NVG's?
Israel is part of Iran in ArmA 3 if I remember correctly, something about a treaty.
That seems pretty unlikely, but if that's the storyline, than that's the storyline. I couldn't find much about the history in ArmA 3 aside from Iran attacking Greece or something to that effect.
Well that mission was a lot of fun, but my game keeps crashing so it's hard to keep playing :(

As a result, they would start manufacturing and equipping the TAG-20 alongside their Katibas (which are themselves based on the DIO KH2002 which Iran currently uses) since it's not a pile of shit. Welcome to the Armaverse.
This pissed a lot of my friends off :v:
It does make me want to kill you. Also the fact that my modem is going fuck you when I download shit over 2.0 MB/s a sec then reboots.

Yeah I agree with the futuristic stuff, atleast we'll have some mods and stuff soon. I hope.

Welcome to the Armaverse.
Iranian domestically produced Israeli TAR21's chambered in caseless 6.5mm. They should have just chambered the things in .22 Eargesplitten Loudenboomer. Would've made just as much sense as that. Can't wait until they port all the ArmA2 stuff over. I hope it's straight forward, because the technical aspects of ArmA 3 are great. The flying is better, vehicle handling, graphics, the movement and all that. I just can't stand the time it's set in. Reminds me too much of Ghost Recon and Black Ops 2.
Was playing TDM when I noticed an enemy snooping around near a cement wall so I took a shot at him which missed and hit the wall and made it fall over. The guy starts shitting himself and starts looking around right when I squeeze off another shot that got him in the chest and his body catapults itself into the dry riverbed on the other side of the house. I hope bugs like these stay around for rare occasions.

I am interested in a modern day mod and Operation Flashpoint remake mod (CWR3? :D) still however.
Where is the PBO for a mission you make? [editline]6th March 2013[/editline] FOUND IT!
ArmA has a lore now. Almost a grown man. :tear:
