I wish they would add a stance indicator.
I wish they would add a stance indicator.
I was saying the exact same thing to my friends when we played earlier.

would it be possible to make it so players die if they don't move for a certain amount of time, say 20 seconds or so? got an idea for a FFA set in the main city with only explosives, maybe C4 and/or claymores

Did anyone notice that glass respawns?
Now what the hell do I do in these 45 minutes I'm downloading Arma 3?
I like the new editor.
how do u do that
Like others have said, a stance indicator is seriously needed. With so many, it's hard to tell whether you're in a high crouch or a low stand. Looks like items have a much better system now. You can have multiple NVGs, binoculars, maps, etc. in one inventory without them being in your equipment slot. And inventory isn't just a global thing- vests seem to have a certain amount of space that you can put stuff into. Underwear men cannot carry any ammunition though. I hope the feature to strip dead (or passed out) enemies to their underwear is added.
how do u do that
They added elevation to the object menu.
poop seems like my game crashes every few minutes because of the Danish units
How do I make the singleplayer scenario menu to show up? There's only "showcases" that only contains the 4 showcases, the locked "challenges" and multiplayer.
My mortar teams don't have a very big envelope [t]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/578983053267219886/221B4D88D63B487E424138983362489189C1DB76/[/t] I wonder why
The AI is pretty damn amazing, and completely dynamic at that.
Adding a jump over a hovering helicopter to my stunt track didn't go so well. I've finished the layout of the track now, just need to add barriers along some parts, and fix a few misaligned ramps. Updated video is processing, should be up soon.
After playing this I don't think I can go back to ArmA 2.
I made a mission for my friends and I to play tomorrow. http://filesmelt.com/dl/OperationDayBreak.Stratis_.pbo When you download it remove the _ from the .pbo. Filesmelt is a dick. It's pretty basic but there is no briefing so here it goes: There's some bad guy that is a Major in the OPFOR. Kill him. Take a car and follow the road until you hit a spot with two turns. Take a right and keep going until you get to the old outpost. I should really add marks on the map but i'm too tired.
I'm having some performance issues. Outside of vehicles I get a solid 50-60+ fps. As soon as I get in a vehicle though, it drops down to 20-30 fps. I'm pretty much well above the requirements, with an i7 3770k and a gtx 660 ti, so this isn't normal.

Eh, it's an alpha. It's gonna be weird like that.
Use thirdperson in vehicles. Something about being in first person makes FPS go to shit.
but hands :(
but hands :(
OHWELL.
Is somebody able to confirm the performance is significantly better than ArmA 2's?
Is somebody able to confirm the performance is significantly better than ArmA 2's?
Yes and No. In general it's better, but it also dips to extremely low FPS for EVERYONE at points. It's an alpha so yeah.

Arma 3 is amazing. Gonna try MP now. [editline]6th March 2013[/editline] OH MY GOD ARMA 3 WASTELAND MY LIFE IS COMPLETE

Oh sweet jesus that was the best thing I've seen in arma 3. Then again It's also 6:00 AM.
I did the thing mentioned in the other thread with making an @ARMA2/addons folder and just copypasting all the files from the ARMA2 Addons in there and while it works, sort of, now I get some windows popping up with no text and the editor is seemingly broken. How fix?

Movement is laggy as in it takes a second or two for the game to actually register me pressing one of the movement buttons.
