"FORE!"
I did the thing mentioned in the other thread with making an @ARMA2/addons folder and just copypasting all the files from the ARMA2 Addons in there and while it works, sort of, now I get some windows popping up with no text and the editor is seemingly broken. How fix?
someone mentioned removing the editor .pbo files
someone mentioned removing the editor .pbo files
I did. Didn't help.

"ui" and "UIfonts" looks like it could be it.
What ports do you have to open to host a game on A3?
Dynamic Zombie Sandbox v0.1 is out
you get to choose what port to host on
default is like 2302 or some shit
Yeah, deleting the UI stuff got the menus and text back, but now when I try to launch a mission I just crash.
Bah.
[editline]6th March 2013[/editline]
Also, in the editor, where's the ammobox?

Empty > Ammo
I'm having some performance issues.
Outside of vehicles I get a solid 50-60+ fps.
As soon as I get in a vehicle though, it drops down to 20-30 fps.
I'm pretty much well above the requirements, with an i7 3770k and a gtx 660 ti, so this isn't normal.
Try turning down the Picture in Picture stuff in the graphics settings, that might be fucking you over
I get some serious performance problems in MP. In SP it is good, but in MP it sometimes really drops.

When everything is set to low I still get a bad framerate in Mp, with an i7 and Gtx 670.
is it actually destructible buildings, or do the buildings just have different models

Phenom X4 955 3.2 Ghz and HD6870 here :D Feels good to be not alone with this.
Found this: http://www.armaholic.com/forums.php?m=posts&q=20832 Maybe it's related to that.
Aside from some perfomance issues, the game is amazing. Exceeded my expectations.
Are there any good singleplayer missions out yet? Multiplayer is unplayable atm
Is it only me not having problems with MP? My X4 640 3GHZ AMD, 4GB ram and my ATI Radeon HD5770 runs this game in SP and MP on high with a good 30 FPS 15 or so in Jungles and around 20 in medium battles.

I'll test this for you, I'm messing with explosives right now.
I found that you can duplicate clothing or at least change one clothing into another. As a civilian, first you must be wearing clothing and then drag a dead soldier's clothing over your own. Your clothing will then turn into his, and he will still be wearing his clothing.
e: You can't fit a 20rd. 5.56x45mm magazine into a civilian's clothing but you can fit a 30rd. 5.56x45mm. ???????
AI still don't respond to deaths and seem to have no "killer" logic. Civilians who shoot, blow up, or otherwise kill AI will not be attacked or targetted by that AI's team no matter how many are killed. They aren't startled either.
When reloading weapons that have no magazine inside at all (this doesn't happen with empty weapons), a magazine appears in the weapon and stays there for the duration of the reload animation.
There are now flinching animations, they don't correspond to where the shot hit, but they are there. AI who are shot but not killed will sometimes run away and heal themselves but don't seem to care about how far they go or if they leave cover to do it.
You should also consider if you are playing on a 50+ man server. That doesn't really help.
I so want this.
Wait, what am I waiting for here.
brb buying the damn thing
I NEED TO GET MY FUCKING PAYCHECK
Guys...I still haven't been charged for my supporter's edition and they resent my code at 1am this morning. I've redeemed it and all. Checked my account just now (12pm ish) and still nothing has been taken.
Did I just get ARMA 3? For free? :s
I think its fair to say this will probably be the most successful, and popular iteration of the entire series including flashpoint.
thank fucking fuck for the unfucked AI driving.
Got a bot to drive 3 km with me in the car with him, he only went off the road once. And even then it wasn't that bad.

The above two pictures are of the same house.
Depending on the amount of bombs you chuck at a building, it might not completely collapse. A single satchel or explosive charge is enough to collapse just about every single building but I haven't checked with larger buildings. When a building collapses, its "damaged" (cracked textures etc) model sinks into the ground fairly slowly and the destroyed model is all that's left. However if you throw a grenade or two into the same room of a building, that side only will be destroyed, and no model sinking occurs. Throw another into a different side and that side will be destroyed. I tried throwing 20 more grenades at the building (you can carry 40+ now), but nothing else happened, and it wouldn't collapse. A satchel did the trick, but they have a lot more range now, and it killed me when I was a few blocks away. So, A2 vets who used a lot of satchels back in the day, beware, you might blow yourself up if you underestimate the new explosive power.
e: If you shoot someone in the foot twice in rapid succession they almost always die. However, give it a second or two between each shot, and they could survive up to ten.
I found shooting someone in the legs as a Marksman usually ends in a one shot kill. Not sure why. Or at-least they drop to the floor.

Which I suppose makes sense... Not death but falling.

Unless they are dead, in which case I'm confused.
Ragdoll always means death. Oh, and that was just for lower caliber weapons. I did it with a 6.5mm Katiba, that the OPFOR use. Had to remove the ironsights to be accurate with it since I did it up close as a civilian so that they did not run away or shoot me during testing.
Firing takes priority over movement now, so if you are jogging and you hold down the mouse button, you will slowly move forwards in stop-go segments while your weapon is firing during its lowering-raising spasms.
You can't add ammunition to your inventory from a gearbox/corpse while reloading.
Grenades are thrown in correspondence to the direction that you are moving- if you are jogging left and you throw a grenade it will be thrown to the left of your crosshair.
You can carry machine-guns and rocket launchers now :)

You can ragdoll by getting run over or ejecting out of a vehicle without dying.
Does the alpha include airplanes?

How realistic does this look in-game anyway? Is the ragdoll thrown in such a way that it naturally does a roll or does it just awkwardly plop out the side of the car?
Also what happens when you eject and the ragdoll hits an oncoming tree?

Three helis, Ka-60 and AH/MH-3.
According to CHKilroy.

There is a major artery in the legs. If you get shot in the chest it might hit some vital organs but even then those vital organs won't result in you dying as fast as the artery unless its like the lungs or the heart.

When I was walking I wasn't able to jog at all due to the wounds I got from ejecting. Not sure how many times it takes to die but I think I was getting there.

Also yes, those are the choppers in the game. AH-3, MH-3, and Ka-60. There is also a black skin for the Ka-60.
