Not gonna lie, pretty happy about this news. Now maybe I'll actually be able to fly helos in multiplayer servers. I doubt that most players will dedicate the time to learning how to start these things.
The flight mechanics only took me like an hour or so to get used to after a lot of flight time in Arma 2. Really, all it is, is just having the right amount of torque at the level it suggests and not stressing the airframe too much. And adjusting to wind for turbulence. [editline]13th June 2012[/editline] Id say the hardest thing for me, was just landing the chopper on a heli-pad on a roof within a short period of time.
I SPY A MERKAVA. This could mean Israelis?
Is there a way to preorder this yet? I would really rather have ARMA III than BF3 Premium. Also I don't think these have been posted yet

ARMA THREE!!!!!!#3333333333333333
I'm kinda hoping that the recommended i5 processor isn't the lowest they'd recommend having to play the game on, otherwise you'd need to spend a lot more just to get it to run :v: I also hope it's much more optimised graphically, because ArmA 2 used most of my CPU (Which is shit) but barely any of my GPU (Which apparently can handle a metrick fuckton of graphical stuff going on)
This video is literally a year old.
I swear to Akatosh I didn't notice the 2011 when I posted it and thought it was from like a week ago.

It still has that staple arma hazy blur. I hope we can choose which post processing effects we want in the game.

I think BI really has a hardon for the Merkava and making fictional variants of it. Not that I'm complaining, the Merkava is my favorite modern tank.
Gonna need to buy a supercomputer for this shit. It's long overdue anyway.
Holy shit, this looks so realistic and believable. If not for the ground texture and vest texture, I could mistake it for photograph with some dof applied or something. [thumb]http://images.idgentertainment.de/images/idgwpgsgp/bdb/2337637/bigimage.jpg[/thumb]
and here's an actually new video

Lower one might be authentic too, considering ALL of the stuff they've shown us so far in screens has been identified as existing gear, yet at prototype stage irl or not.

Here's a new video from Gamescom:

The howitzer variant isn't 100% fictional because Israel tested a Merkava based howitzer in the 80's but rejected it in favor of the M109. The rocket arty is totally fictional though.
