Nobody can take a joke in an ArmA thread.
ArmA IS A SERIOUS GAME FOR SERIOUS PEOPLE. I hope they optimize the engine though, especially if they're adding a more advanced physics.
Nobody can take a joke in an ArmA thread.
I was tired as hell when I rated him dumb, my sarcasm meter was broken at the time.
I've played a bit of ArmA II, yet I'm absolutely terrible at it. Do you guys think I should still get this?
I'm hoping ARMA3 focuses on netcode optimization, multiplayer improvements and hardware optimization. I also hope for an internal fastDL system for servers, there is nothing worse than going onto a server and not being able to connect because you don't have ONE FILE
Didn't they say that they are working on the physics? Would be amazing if we could get a Gmodish mod with the huge map.
Looks a bit too futuristic for me, but I'm sure ACE will remedy that
I hope they make a WWII ArmA at some point.
I hope they make a WWII ArmA at some point.
There's already someone making it. The game is called "Operation Overlord" or something like that.
I hope they have the F-15E in it. I want a game that has the plane I work on in it. Also if they don't fix the voices I'll be very disappointed.

Great picture but remove the redlines on the FP logo.
Ah, I see the red pixels now. [editline]24th July 2011[/editline] Thread logo revised - [editline]25th July 2011[/editline] I had to blur it or else the logo would have been pixel-y
Enemy POSTER, FAR, to our FRONT.
See, I could kind of understand the choppy voices for pointing out different directions, but ARMA 2 had choppy dialogue where it really didn't need to be. Hello, SIR I saw A western APC just NOW.

I'm off to bed ->
I need to buy a new computer. [editline]24th July 2011[/editline] Actually I just have to get windows 7, which my dad has, also is 3GB of ram good or should I get more?
Updated OP banner.
It looks like shit that would come into service within the next 10 years to me.
Uhm, a lot of stuff like that is nearing the point if being serviced in anyway, we're still using technology from vietnam still, that's how far ahead the U.S military is in terms of technology, actually most modern things we own have had some military use before someone found commercial use for them.

Luckily, before my birthday, my friend and I have invested cash into building a mega-computer that could handle this.
I hope they make a WWII ArmA at some point.
The original Operation Flashpoint (or ARMA: Cold war assault nowadays) with FDFMod 1.4. You only have Russians and Finns though.

I hope the smoke looks as good as it does in the teaser, also linger for minutes/hours and be generally all over the place. I think games generally fail at making decent smoke.
There's already someone making it. The game is called "Operation Overlord" or something like that.
Vapourware to the extreme. They haven't released ANY information or evidence of work and their website has been the same since 2005.
