I hope ArmA III supports hundreds of players across a huge map.
ArmaII Can already do that. Just not very fast.
So I have an I5, and 2 GTs 250's and 4 gigs of RAM, do you think I'll be able to run it?
Vapourware to the extreme. They haven't released ANY information or evidence of work and their website has been the same since 2005.
You could try, you know, actually reading the forums. Why not have faith? It's not hurting your wallet.
Remade it for you without the terrible blur, also a color version just for shits and giggles: I don't understand why you're not using a transparent background though, I could do that tomorrow if the OP is interested. I'm off to bed ->
I made it transparent

I can't wait for Arma III. Am a huge fan of Arma 2 and OA, and the added feature of actual physics makes the game sound great, along with water environments.
So I have an I5, and 2 GTs 250's and 4 gigs of RAM, do you think I'll be able to run it?
they said that it'll be more optimized than arma2. I'm running arma2 on a 4 year old laptop and it works. [editline]26th July 2011[/editline] also dat merkava APC
also dat merkava APC
Merkava is an MBT. Though while it *can* carry troops in the back, it's isn't an APC.
No matter what they do, it'll always be the same old... "Four, five, six, seven! Board that -- CAR!" I wouldn't have it any other way.
I found the voice acting in the original OFP to be much better than ArmA's. With the leap to ArmA they somehow made everyone sound like a broken speak-and-spell. It went from OFP's "All, move to forest, 9 o'clock" to Arma 2's "All, MOVE to that TREE to our FRONT" Or "11'clock, enemy soldier, 500" to "Enemy MAN, WAY, to our, FRONT, to our LEFT"
I never played ArmA. Wanted to, but at the time couldn't. Should I upgrade right now and wait it out or just buy ArmA 2?
Merkava is an MBT. Well here's an hint: It translates to APC Merkava
Thought you were talking about the last pic in matt54 post.
I don't see why but oh well Israelian armor design is awesome
I do hope that BIS will attempt to implement some actual reload animations for the weapons, instead of the magazine disappearing and your left hand waving through the weapon.
some idle animations would be nice to watch, they would make guard duty more intresting.

Now the new one sucks.
ALL.... Move to THAT TREE....... ELEVEN o'CLOCK
I am loving that Comanche right now.
Requirements: OS Windows 7 or Windows Vista CPU Intel Core i5, AMD Phenom X4 eller bättre GPU Nvidia Geforce GTX 260, AMD Radeon HD 5770 with Shader Model 3.0 och 896 MB vram (or better) RAM 2 GB HDD 15 GB free DVD Dual-layer DirectX Version 10 Dont know if it has been posted, I translated it quickly from a Swedish hardware site.
Is that minimum or recommended?
Is that minimum or recommended?
I think the website said recommended, but it was misreported elsewhere. Hell, those are higher than Arma 2's recommended specs. There's no way those are minimum.
I'm currently saving for a new computer, not going to buy anything until I know I can run this game. I really can't wait.

(If those are recommended instead of minimum)
This all depends on the AI. The AI was almost like playing against cheaters sometimes on Arma 2.. Just zipped in the head from no where despite being in a ghillie suit, in a bunch of trees proned etc. Or getting spotted through foliage :(

I just hope that they make it so AI snipers are better and they can see really far if they use long range optics.
Hopefully its better optimized than ARMA 2
Is that minimum or recommended?
The site I got this from says "Bohemia reveals that the ARMA 3 is coming, but not for any computer. The next game requires an Intel Core i5 or AMD Phenom X4, 2 GB of RAM and a graphics card from the DX10 generation with at least 896 MB of video memory. Quickly translated. Wich would mean minimum.
Holy shit are those minimum specs? You really need a supercomputer to run this game.
fuck, I need a new graphics card, and maybe a mobo.
I've always loved the voice acting in ARMA II. Reminds me of my service in the android war of 2035.
