I will now sleep the next 12 hours, see you guys on the field.
This looks like basically the pinnacle of the Arma series. The perfect blend of realism and gameplay compromises, and it looks...GLORIOUS.

Also, I can't wait for the armchair generals to get mad because the movement isn't super clunkly and "realistic".
Someone compared it to CoD on the infantry video.

Looks fine to me. A human can adjust itself in an infinite amount of ways for everything you can imagine. It's not possible to imitate it all and even if you could how the fuck would you be able to utilize it. 9 Stances is more than GRAW had and I thought it was confusing enough with GRAW. I'm happy because now it doesn't matter where whatever object is, you should be able to use it as adequate cover, and still shoot over it, or under it. I also really like the Holos and Red Dots. They actually work like they're fucking supposed to. God damn Finally!
So are there more videos coming tonight?
Okay, so what the fuck is going on in "low prone" stance. He just turns sideways. How is that better than laying flat
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
So it seems they have actually fixed what was the the most annoying part of Arma 2.
I am a very happy man now.
Just ARMA 2? The game has been horrifically clunky ever since Operation Flashpoint. To see them finally fix this after over a decade is a Godsend. Every iteration they've always made an attempt to fix a broken system, and every iteration I've aways said "oh wow it almost plays like a normal game now." It looks like this game will finally be "the one" where they get it right and eliminate the clunky quirks and idiosyncrasies that have plagued the series since its inception. I'm genuinely excited about this, and will be picking up the ARMA 3 alpha.
Damn you can already see how smooth the movement is from that video.

He puts his gun and head as low as possible, to shoot under fences for example.
durr quoted the wrong guy

If you're in a belly stance your gun will be raised a slight bit to give your arms room to raise the gun a bit closer to your face. When you rotate around and lay on the arm your gun is closer to, it'll be closer to the floor.

Laying side ways allows him to see much closer to the floor, imagine a small gap in a door that you could use to see if anyone was behind it. Hopefully it'll actually be useful, ie maps designed with that feature in mind

I can already imagine it. Massive 100 player virtual simulated sleepover.
Oh, okay, that makes sense. I really hope there's an actual use for shooting that low.

This actually looks like what ArmA II should've been

Imagine trying to shoot a rifle under a car while behind it using it as cover. (Plenty of times in Arma 2 I've wished I was able to) You really can't unless you were to roll onto your side. The North Hollywood Shootout is a good example. When the 4 SWAT officers rolled up on the last gunman one or two of them did it, and were able to hit the gunman that way
It's a shame that urban prone didn't make it.

But I understand why; it's a rather awkward stance to throw yourself into in a game. From the player's perspective the current lowest stance is much easier to predict.

Haaaaaaatttsss.

I'm going to mod these clothes into the game, wear them, and all the other players must bask in my excellent fashion sense.
