don't worry :) we have some surprises in pocket
Oh shit do you work at Bohemia? [editline]27th July 2011[/editline] Oh wow, than you do. Just as the last guy said make movement better. I can barely walk indoors in tighter spaces.

Kinda ruins my suprise for the enemy.
You know, all I want to do in ArmA 3 is pair up with two other buddies and do an A10 strike.
What I'm really wondering is what factions we'll get. Because right now we've seen a lot of vehicles from a lot of different nations.
I kind of hope they have something similar to the PMC's but maybe there not working for Blufor or Opfor, maybe like a gangster type, I'd love to see a bunch of SUV's roll up to a military base and just start shooting, maybe run off with some weapons or a tank... Also I think seems as how we are behind enemy lines some type of costume would be useful to get past checkpoints and what not, if there are any.
You know what would make me happy? Reworking the sides to allow for more than just the 4 currently available. (West, East, Independent and Civillian.) The work-arounds for having units on other sides are very hacky and don't work in all situations.
Holy shit those graphics.

Being able to make your own sides would be even cooler.
I want, no I need to be able to edit soldiers loadout with ease similar to VBS2. I will buy it day 1 if I can.
A question came into my mind: Why make a game have such wonderful graphics that even one of the best computers would cry if it ran?
so that this game would avoid the "LOL GREPHICS" argument for generations to come and make people focus on gameplay mods
A question came into my mind: Why make a game have such wonderful graphics that even one of the best computers would cry if it ran?
The graphics in Arma 2 were great, in this one they look "wonderfull". But, like you, I have the same question..... But, I think Dwarden can answer that.
Two independents would be cool
Even better, you could set up how each faction relates to another.
I'm pretty optimistic that this will improve on the series's downsides after reading the PC gamer preview. Among othr things they mentioned improved animation systems, less confusing presentation/learning curve and ithink smoother movement. I'm cautiously optimistic! I just hope they can finish the game in time for release next year as they implied there was still tons of work to do... And despite how much I bash how arma2 played I still spent about 80 hours on it according to steam. There is just so much in there, its just I really had to work at it toget to the good stuff and had to wrestle with gameplay systems that I really found clunky. I love what the sereis offers but I just feel like with all these little imprpvments as a game it could be so much more. it def sounds like they are looking into that more with arma3
I might be late but are they going to work on Optimization are all?
so there is new screenshot on my twitter :) ...

2 Quick questions, 1. Will there be better reloading animations on weapons? 2. Will the armory be featured in ARMA 3?
Those pictures man, could almost look real. Can't wait for Arma 4 :v:
I don't know why everyone is complaining about animations, I think they look great. The running anim is very believable. Aren't they motion captured? I guess people don't actually hate anims, but rather transitions/lag/clunkyness due to anims?
for lazier ones ;)
All the animations in the game are great, EXCEPT the reloading animations.
I've never had a problem with ArmA's movement and shit, but that's probably because I'd been playing OFP since its release. However, I agree with people about weapon anims, more specifically reloading. It seems every type of weapon, ie rifle, launcher, pistol, has one reload animation per type. And the fact that the magazine disappears and the bolt is cycled by a ghost hand makes it look a bit unpolished. Anyway, in A3 will there be +1 rounds for closed-bolt weapons like the M16, AK74/47 etc, and also will there be a way to check the ammo count of magazines without having to load them? And will there be a magazine merging system?

But the goddamn reloading animations. [editline]31st July 2011[/editline] also vehicle damage. But that is solved as even if devs can't be arsed, the modders can.
they will be improved, don't worry ...

I don't really mind them though, they look fine in normal situations. What I dislike are the copy-pasted first person animations, but it is sort of excusable because of the volume of guns arma has
afaic there's no first person and world models and animations, only world animations.
