The movement animations make moving extremely clunky and impossible to use cover/CQB. You run behind a wall for cover but then you get stuck and/or you don't move completely behind wall due to shit anims and you die. Also you can't move fluidly in a house.
of course you get stuck if you wave your goddamn gun around,. lower it. I know it's hard to coprehend how much real life logic is applied to this game, but try to think about it.
Lowering a gun when walking against and obstacle could be automatic in that case. It's annoying to always raise and lower your gun in qcb
depends. it's not hard to get used to press a button whenever you want to go through a door.
I haven't seen these in the thread: -shnip shnip late-
That's weird, I actually never paid attention to the reloading animations in arma II. I guess I was used to Goldeneye's gun goes off screen and then back up reload. Also sexy pictures, shame I won't be able to run the game until 2013 at earliest.
[QUOTE=Dwarden;31372651]don't worry :) we have some surprises in pocket[/QUOTE] YES YES YES YES YES YES ArmA 2 is great but I really felt that the clunky movement held it back a lot. Last night it was hell trying to get back inside a house when I started to get shot at. I get that they were going for realistic movement, but I can move a lot easier than that in real life. I really, really hope that's fixed. Other than that, ArmA 3 looks fantastic already. Gonna need to buy a new GPU for it though..

[QUOTE=3v3ryb0dy;31473822]depends. it's not hard to get used to press a button whenever you want to go through a door.[/QUOTE] I guess you've never done CQB because if you lower your weapon, you will die. Have fun trying to raise a weapon when you are staring an enemy down the barrel.
if they manage to get the indoor movement down, have ragdolls, reloading animations that aren't outclassed by GTASA and voices that don't sound like they were edited together by a 3 year old I will ejaculate into my eyes

I dont want ragdolls over the top. In the one screenshot with the people flying away form an explosion, I hope thats not a grenade. As this is the wolrds best military sim-game! People dont fly away from fragmentation grenades and we all know it.
I don't mind the voice acting really, kinda splits up the command a bit so its easier to understand.

The animations in Arma II are decent. Although I never liked playing in first person, I always felt like a wooden board.
so i posted new screens on my twitter, you may compare them with the Eurogamer's 4th screen [thumb]http://arma3.com/devblog/Hestia_Arma3_screenshots_forums_006.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://images.eurogamer.net/assets/articles//a/1/3/8/4/3/2/1/Arma3_screeenshot_EGcz_04.jpg.jpg[/thumb] another lovely screen is this scenery [thumb]http://www.armaholic.com/datas/users/arma3new12_16471.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://www.armaholic.com/datas/users/arma3new5_16471.jpg[/thumb] this one has some soul
and some vehicles [thumb]http://www.armaholic.com/datas/users/arma3new10_16471.jpg[/thumb][thumb]http://www.armaholic.com/datas/users/arma3new11_16471.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://www.armaholic.com/datas/users/arma3new13_16471.jpg[/thumb][thumb]http://www.armaholic.com/datas/users/arma3new6_16471.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://www.armaholic.com/datas/users/arma3new1_16471.jpg[/thumb][thumb]http://www.armaholic.com/datas/users/arma3new8_16471.jpg[/thumb]
[QUOTE=3v3ryb0dy;31483251]then don't lower your weapon when you have to shoot it. easy as that[/QUOTE] Yeah, once you practise CQB lots, it starts to become second nature. LEarn to move around the environment. Going through doors shouldn't be a problem, with a buddy and decent room clearing techniques.
Fucking love you Dwarden.
Hype rising sharply.
[media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3n2LwQXTNyc[/media] excuse both they not native english speakers :)
Cool interview. Now I want Arma III more damnit.
Really good pics Dwarden, the game looks really good.
God damn Dwarden, You're making me giggle like a school girl again.

[QUOTE=3v3ryb0dy;31522773][/QUOTE] I [i]know[/i], i'm just pointing out the size of the thing.
How is that surprising, seeing how huge the maps were in ofp and other armas and devs said "We gon an island up this bitch"?
