Looks too fast paced.
Looks about the same pace as TF2. Makes the thread title more appropriate, doesn't it?
A new update from Ashton Anderson himself about the new T-Rex gameplay footage, as well as news about the partnership with EVGA:
This is our newest Pre-Alpha Footage of the T-Rex from Primal Carnage. All of the footage you see here is recorded from actual gameplay but is subject to a lot of change (for the better!) as our development cycle progresses. Please send this video to all your friends, twitter, facebook, forums, etc and let's spread the word for primal carnage!

EVGA Powers Primal Carnage
February 4th, 2011 - Lukewarm Media announces its partnership
with NVIDIA's #1 Authorized Partner in North America, EVGA. Lukewarm
Media will be using EVGA gaming hardware to develop and
test their upcoming game title; Primal Carnage.
By using Lukewarm Media's "Primal Carnage" game and EVGA's top of the
line hardware the partnership aims to create a graphically stunning
product that pushes the boundaries of current video game technology.
"Working with EVGA has been a fantastic experience. Not only is EVGA one
of the top graphics card companies in the world, they're also a company
I'm proud to be working directly with. I have been using EVGA hardware
way before I even got into the game industry so it has been a honor to
be able to work with them directly. EVGA understands game development
and have done a lot for our team already such as sending out hardware,
cross promotion, and giving me the chance to 'pwn' them in an alpha
test! I look forward to working with EVGA and I personally think this is
a huge step forward in direct development with a hardware company/game
development company thanks to some 'outside-of-the-box' thinking from
both sides. I've been using the EVGA GTX 570 and this card is beastly!"

I'm keeping this thread updated as best as I can so expect more updates down the road.
Looking good so far judging from the video. Too bad it didn't show anyone getting eaten.
It really looks like the dinosaurs should have a first person view.
The T-rex seems underpowered.
1:38 was awesome in that video.
I think it'd be cool if this game approached gore like Dead Space.

Because everything Fast pace with Classes and Teams has to be related to TF2
Raptors without feathers. No thank you.
It is a possiblity that not all raptors had full body covered with feathers. And considering the class is called "raptor" and not something such as deinonychus, there is nothing they have to completely follow the anatomy of.
My God this looks great. I can't wait to play as the Tyrannosaur. Totally buying copies for my friends just to ensure this game makes money.

I didn't say "fast-paced". I said "Same pace as TF2". Yes, TF2 is fast-paced, but that doesn't mean I'm comparing EVERY fast-paced multiplayer game with TF2. Lrn2NotGeneralize.

They said they wanted to have the thrilling dinosaurs just like in Jurassic Park.
Kind of a late update from post-PAX, but here you guys go, for those of you still interested in this game.
Pre-PAX Promo
Greetings to all who want to play as a dinosaur and eat some humans! As you may or may not know the Primal Carnage team have returned from PAX. PAX being the Penny Arcade Expo, East Coast Edition. Thanks to our sponsor EVGA, we had the privilege to set up shop at their booth and have a few systems running for some dinosaur vs human 1v1 action. At the booth we had 4 classes playable; Scientist, Commando, Raptor and T-Rex, as well as a 3D demo running in full HD using NVidia’s 3D Vision technology. Nothing screams ‘bad ass’ like a T-Rex roaring at your face in 3D (I think a few people at PAX crapped their pants).

We wanted to follow up with this post-PAX press release to thank you, the fans, for helping us bring this game to life with your support, dedication, ideas and insight on our game. It was a great opportunity and amazing feeling to see your reactions when you got to play as a Raptor or T-Rex for the first time - or when you got your first dino kill with the rocket launcher.

After a great weekend at PAX, the reviews are already starting to come in:
“Imagine a 20-player, fast-paced, arcade-style PvP combat game in which one team is made up of a series of gun-packing combat specialists attempting to retake control of an island overrun by dinosaurs…and the other team IS THE F***ING DINOSAURS!! Only T-Rex and Velociraptor were playable in the demo but both seem fully realized with unique abilities like trampling, pouncing, a stunning roar, and a sneak mechanic. Everything is rendered so believably that the first time I turned a corner and found myself face-2-face with a T. rex…I had to check my shorts.”- gfbrobot.com

The pax event went as well as we could have asked; we had lines at our booth with... yes lines! All 600+ flyers were taken away as if they were free candy. People of all ages came to play the game as well – hell, we even had the Ghostbusters and Mr.T playing.
