Black Face confirmed as new gadget
I hope Absolution comes with simulated "metabolism". It just feels unrealistic to be able to kill some dude in the restroom and leave his body in the stall, and nobody will ever find him. I want random NPCs to go to the toilet.

Or instead of sounding silly you could just say "give NPCs routines".
We need a forensic expert convention too. And more women.
I'm thinking of replaying Hitman: Contracts, but the Meat Kings Party scared the fuck out of me last time I played through it, and I just can't bear the horror of doing it again.

Really? There's creepier stuff than that level in the game.

the game is really dark in general.. theres worse stuff than that
The only thing that ever creeped me out was walking into the room the big bad chef guy who [sp]cut up that guy[/sp] should be, then having the horrible event of him not being there, walking into the room and scaring the shit out of me.
I know that doesn't always happen but fuck, it did once and that made me cry.

Fucking level made me give up on contracts, I beat it but I couldn't play more of it in fear of more shit like that. Something about dead people, sex, and latex in parties makes me want to puke my guts up.

Do not play videogames above your allowed age rating :v:

I'm 19, shit like that just freaks me the FUCK out.
[editline]22nd September 2012[/editline]
Also, that level in manhunt 2, god dammit man. Fuck that level, the rest of the game was fun but that sucked.

What level?
I've only played manhunt 1.

The sex club place.
Just installed Codename 47.
Let's see how this spins.
[editline]22nd September 2012[/editline]
Well that was awfully disappointing.

I'd love to know your reaction to the ghost that shows up later in the game :v:
Hearing all this stuff really makes me want to play contracts, If only it was on steam.

Its hard as fuck and controls terribly.
how could you feel scared in any situation if you're 47?
i mean you [B]ARE[/B] the badman... you're the scary thing. they aren't.
least that's how i always viewed it.
That's silly. If you're not afraid of something, that's you genuinely not being afraid of it; not the character you're playing.
[editline]23rd September 2012[/editline]
Besides, there's nothing scary in Hitman. Just some creepy levels in Contracts.
what makes amnesia such a scary as shit game?
you're some random joe anybody with no way to fight back
[editline]22nd September 2012[/editline]
in fact, the thing that makes most horror games scary is how shitty their combat system is and how you have to sometimes clumsily fumble with it to get a shot off, just like in real life.
nothing threatens hitman, nothing. you can fight back very effectively and all in all it's quite hard to die playing as 47.
the character you're playing as does count.
[editline]22nd September 2012[/editline]
if i played amnesia as hitman with my dual silver ballers the game would be far from horror (in addition to being completely broken)
it would also probably not be scary, at all.
[editline]22nd September 2012[/editline]
also remember, we're inside hitman's mind for every level in contracts except the last level.
Amnesia's scary because it's centered around being scary for the person playing it, not just the player. Scared people are more likely to run instead of fight on their own instead of their character having the ability for it. People fight in those situations because it's part of a gameplay mechanic, or they know it can't hurt them because it's a video game.
So you are saying its not scary because you just can't kill stuff. And then you say if you had guns it wouldn't be scary.
yeah otherwise it would just be one of the pop out "horror" games
[QUOTE=cdr248;37766540]So you are saying its not scary because you just can't kill stuff. And then you say if you had guns it wouldn't be scary.[/QUOTE]
basically.
dead space is a perfect example of this. it's not scary really at all, it's just really really atmospheric.
that's all contracts was, really atmospheric. creepy maybe, but def not scary.
[editline]22nd September 2012[/editline]
imagine if dead space had no weapons and basically every encounter with an alien was like the first encounter you had in the first game.
This just in: different people can be scared of different things!
[QUOTE=Fausty;37760868]The sex club place.[/QUOTE]
Even though I am a fan of the Manhunt series, I have to admit that level left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
This whole thing reminds me of those creepy levels in SWAT 4. You know, the basement one and then the whole cultist hideout with graves on the first floor.
Anyone know how I can get Hitman: Contracts to run widescreen? I forgot how I did it last time.
[editline]23rd September 2012[/editline]
Nevermind, I got it.
I tried to play through Blood Money a few days ago
The manison mission kept crashing as soon as I was close to finishing it
