Did it. #1 so far, anyone that can beat me?
How difficult was it?
How difficult was it?
It took a couple tries tries, but not overly difficult.
is it just me or is everyone disappointed by this game not realizing that contracts mode has been around in one form or another ever since hitman games have been around?
Are you sure it doesn't realize that?
Because from when you select Contract, the voice seems to imply that hitmen have been doing this for a long time.
If anything, they added something people wanted.
Is anybody else experiencing long load times? It takes me 2-3 minutes to load a level.
Is anybody else experiencing long load times? It takes me 2-3 minutes to load a level.
Some load times take a while for me. It's probably because the maps are filled with unique models. I've found transitioning from one area type to another takes longer than from similar areas.
I was disappointed in the game itself, mainly with the disguise system being a fucking nightmare, but Contracts is a great idea. I'm having a lot of fun coming up with new ones all the time and adding a back story to them. If you want, check mine out, just add me on Steam.

My load times are pretty fast, never past 20 seconds (probably even less but I don't count) I wish mine were faster :v: I guess it has to do more with RAM then anything because I'm pretty sure most people have a I5 2500k so it can't be that, but I have 16GBs of RAM so, wouldn't be my graphic card because that's only a 460.
What are your specs?
I was disappointed in the game itself, mainly with the disguise system being a fucking nightmare
The problem is that it works with the game though, you can't throw in the old system because then the game becomes way to damn easy, though I do now love the train station on Purist, walking through the crowd and using them as your disguise is pretty damn awesome.

2600k oc'ed to 4.8
16 gb of ram
MSI 2gb 6970.
Playtime at over 20 hours and I'm only at Attack of the Saints. No game has ever lasted me this long in ages. I love it.

Uhhhh wasn't expecting that, maybe something to do with AMD? only thing I could guess because no way your load times should be long if I can get into levels fairly fast with my computer.
I have seen some reviews about the disguises and it was cringe worthy
They take a guards outfit and get 1 meter in front of him and go "Well look see its broken and its bad it should be fixed!!!"
If he knows how the disguises work he should know that you need to go into instinct mode to get passed by or just take a distance and work your way around without being in the direct line of sight or to close
Its not hard ya know
I've started not to take any disguises at all.
But I wonder if it's even possible to complete Purist difficulty only with Hitman's suit, and going all ghost silent-killer with Silverballers/Garrote for armed people and knock-out for civilians.
[sp]In Death Factory level, I cleared out a couple of laboratory rooms by just going in, shooting the guard(s) in the head, approaching the scientists face-on and knocking them out individually, and moving on. It was glorious. :v:[/sp]
Anyway I have this problem where I seem to restart from checkpoint ALL the time.
Also, going back to checkpoint respawns all NPC except kill-targets, which is bull. And your original suit disappears during load to checkpoint as well if you changed it and left somewhere (I came back for my suit at the end of some town-level with 3-man gang and their pink car, but to no avail.)
So many immersion breakers. Overly too blind guards OR a perfect run only an inch away and a misplaced hair ruins it all, etc. Similar to the flaws of Deus Ex I guess.

Yeah, I must say this game has really grown on me. Lost of more levels with actual target kills too, thank god it wasn't all just stealth escape missions like in the beginning.

I'll get back to when I finish the game, doing an all purist run with only the suit and making sure not to be spotted once. So far just beat Run for Your Life and Terminus Hotel was insanely easy on purist but I bet the game is going to smack me in the face real soon :v: but so far it's going perfectly.
Wait til you get to the orphanage o.o

Oh don't worry, there's plenty more stealth escape missions.
Wait til you get to the orphanage o.o
That's actually quite easy too, until the last part that is, not sure how to slip by unnoticed there. Distraction and great timing I guess.
Yeah the fucking medicine room drives me off the fucking walls, I mean how the devil are you supposed to get in there without using up all your instinct so you'll be stuck at the hiding place unable to move without being detected?
Wait til you get to the orphanage o.o
I honestly had no trouble with that one, and ended up beating it on silent assassin, only killing the target, and not using any disguises.
I think Hitman could do with a multiplayer like The Ship.

That's easy too.
If you're fast enough you can get the fuse, and then rush to the other room and hide.

What difficulty?

Get the needle, draw people into the play room, use the needle to knock people out. You can hide 8 bodies in the ball pen.
Got passed the library part without killing anybody. Didn't even change disguises.
Things got real personal after [sp]ICA sent sexy nun hitwomen after me[/sp]. I knifed every lone enemy who got in my way and used Instincts to slaughter larger groups. I wasn't shot at for even once. Felt great to just mindlessly slaughter for a change.
I did a bad thing :(

I played about 2 or 3 hours yesterday and got up to the Chinese New Year checkpoint before taking a break. I have to say, I was never a huge Hitman fan but this game is in my top 3 for the year so far. I'm actually trying to stealth the levels (not SA but a mostly stealth run) and find it pretty challenging yet still fun.
About how much of the game do I have left, by the way? I don't want this to end, even though I do imagine myself replaying it.
You have quite a long way to go. Not even halfway.

I think that's maybe the 4th or 5th chapter out of 20

Quite a lot left from what I've seen
Thanks guys. Any tips? Still new to Hitman, basically.
Beat the shit out of [sp]Lenny[/sp] for saying that he had to 'smack sense into [sp]Victoria[/sp]' and 'she liked it'.
I love the way 47 was just like, 'Start walking'.
I thought about letting Lenny [sp]get away in the desert[/sp] but I remembered all the shit he did so I decided to[sp] Shoot him in his limp leg with the hunting rifle[/sp]
