Apparently Eidos Montreal made DXHR. Square Enix Montreal is making Hitman, it's a new team and Hitman is going to be their first.

This is bound to be late but... Holy shit I just found the bird costume from Blood Money I even made a crappy contract with it (it would've been an interesting one if I could kill someone in a crowd without getting spotted) 3-0110-103737-AXEM
Just finished the game. Interesting ending so to speak. Pretty enjoyable game overall, though. Glad I bought it.
3-0110-103737-AXEM
Did you....AXE 'EM question? hahahaha shit joke...
Is it me or is 47's face getting more and more detailed the further you progress? Like right now i am at the Court house and in the cutscene his face was incredible detailed compared to shots i have seen earlier like in Streets of Hope.
You get to pick a custom outfit and starting weapon which is pretty fun So is having to assassinate somebody on a level which didn't previously have a target
I'd enjoy it more though if you had the option to choose more than just the gun you're carrying... Like being able to choose syringe, explosives, screwdriver, katana, proximity mine, tomahawk, agency knife, hammer, hula girl, etc. Weapons that don't normally exist in the level. I mean... there's so many objects that have interesting functions, but aren't available in all levels... I'd much rather try out some of those items on different levels than choosing between 5 different types of handguns.
IO want to work on something new so they're handing over the franchise (for now) to Square Enix Montreal.
I thought Ubisoft owned Hitman? And isn't SE Montreal the team that did DX:HR? If so, then that's cool with me.
Square Enix Montreal is just the fancy name for the Eidos Montreal studio combined with people from other studios, like a few from IO Interactive I believe and some other offices.
I thought it was a separate studio?
I thought Ubisoft owned Hitman?
Not sure why you would think that. I have never, ever seen anything Ubisoft related in the games.
I thought Ubisoft owned Hitman? And isn't SE Montreal the team that did DX:HR? If so, then that's cool with me.
Eidos/Square Enix own it.
I thought Ubisoft owned Hitman? And isn't SE Montreal the team that did DX:HR? If so, then that's cool with me.
Better hope they don't add any boss battles or anything like that because DX:HR had shitty boss battles.
Better hope they don't add any boss battles or anything like that because DX:HR had shitty boss battles.
At least not forced ones.
Better hope they don't add any boss battles or anything like that because DX:HR had shitty boss battles.
That's because the boss battles were outsourced to another studio because of time constraints or something iirc. [editline]26th November 2012[/editline] Studio was some shooter-focused one called G.R.I.P.
That's because the boss battles were outsourced to another studio because of time constraints or something iirc.
It was also because the guys at the studio that made the boss fights were under the impression the game was just a shooter.
It was also because the guys at the studio that made the boss fights were under the impression the game was just a shooter.
Terrible, terrible information given to them then.
Terrible, terrible information given to them then.
I saw an interview with the head designer of the boss fights. They were literally given a basic version of the game, that didn't include all the augments, and told to make boss fights. They weren't given any context beyond who the bosses were.
Well, Hitman actually had boss fights back in the days. That crazy cuban guy who you either had to snipe (in a clearly not so though about by the developers way) or have him fire at you with that insane machine gun and shoot him yourself. Or the whole "Let's put you up against 20 48-clones! That'll be fun." thing. But yeah, no, let's not go there again.
The Deus ex: HR's DLC boss fight was perfect and was exactly what a Deus ex boss fight should be, they were done inhouse too
I thought about letting Lenny [sp]get away in the desert[/sp] but I remembered all the shit he did so I decided to[sp] Shoot him in his limp leg with the hunting rifle[/sp]
I tried to push him into the grave, no luck :(
That's easy too. If you're fast enough you can get the fuse, and then rush to the other room and hide. [editline]26th November 2012[/editline] What difficulty?
Purist
Thinking of streaming some Hitman for you guys to watch later this evening, just for fun to show you the litany of fun stuff I've discovered on my own in levels :D
I really dislike the new composer. It seems that his way to add suspense to everything is adding a BRRRRRGHHHHHHH inception noise.
I was going through the orphanage after uncountable tries, and I was almost through, having been completely stealthy and shit. When I get spotted. Fuck. Fuck. FUCK! I go around a corner, he follows me, we're alone, and then... I reach for a brochure. I shove it in my face and stare. He comes to me and says "Fuck, this is the only time this week I'm nice to anyone!". I can just imagine what was going through his head. He had found that bald guy he was supposed to, and some of his friends were probably dead by that guys hands. If he let him go now, he would only proceed to kill more friends, and probably his boss too. But just as victory was within his reach, the kill of the legenday 47, that motherfucker picks up a brochure. Now there's nothing to do. You can't blame a guy holding a brochure. It just doesn't compute. He has to return to his post, knowing that 47 is out there, but unable to speak. Poor guy.
Okay I checked up some information, the new Hitman game is going to be made by Square Enix Montreal, who are 10 minutes away from Eidos Montreal who are making Thief 4. IO Interactive will be making either a sequel to one of their other titles or a new franchise altogether.
I read awhile ago that their next game after Hitman Absolution would be a new IP. I don't have a source, but it wasn't that long ago I don't think.
Is shadow the silent assassin rank?
Just finished the game. I loved the later part of the game, it had a lot more of the hitman type levels I enjoy. I also laughed at the special thanks in the credits mentioning "that random guy at the Moscow airport".
Is shadow the silent assassin rank?
Silent assassin is the silent assassin rank.
