Haha, that King of Chinatown mission. I was just starting to prepare, looking at my options, then I see the king walk towards me in a secluded location. I strangled him right there on the street, hid his body, no witnesses, silent assassin. Done in 5 minutes. I chuckled.
I kept hearing how the orphanage is hard. I did it no problem really. I'm playing on normal, is it different on hard (for first run I think it would be nightmare without knowing the locations of the fuses on Purist)? I was never spotted, too. What I find out is that this game still has the charm of Blood Money in it's world. As for 47 he's maybe a bit more human and less cold which isn't that bad, it makes him more of a character. I only think he maybe [sp]gets too personal with Diana's request. I mean, he basically dedicates all of his abilities to protect the girl. I also don't understand why he cuts the barcode, it has nothing to do with the agency. Only good thing about it is the bandage looks cool.[/sp]
Yes, more guards.
And the fuses are now in other places, in clear sight of the thugs.

Also the barcode can no longer be read, which makes me think of a scenario where at ICA staff parties they had to sign him in and he just turns around and bends himself into a 90 degree angle onto a register scanner thing.[/sp]
is absolution just as hard as Blood Money? I'm having to restart missions in blood money a good number of times just to get a good and stealthy playthrough.
is absolution just as hard as Blood Money? I'm having to restart missions in blood money a good number of times just to get a good and stealthy playthrough.
You bet, Maybe even more so as disguises aren't all access passes.
damn and awesome! I love the difficulty but at the same time, despise it.
These Chinatown missions make me want to hit the head researcher on this game. They're fun but it's Chinatown, why are they selling fugu, teriyaki, sushi, and miso soup!?
Am I the only one who refused to go through the Orphanage level without murdering every single guy in there? Twas' the most amusing amount of revenge I've ever gotten. Throwing syringes and axes at people was so fun.

Also, point shooting them from behind the desk during their speech is also incredebly awesome. It does also help that the music when getting in a firefight in that level is awesome.
I might replay that level, too, killing everyone. You know, the disguises could easily hide your whole identity. A lot of them have masks but 47 doesn't like those apparently. So far the most ridiculous "guard group" were the cooks in Chinatown. They aren't a real threat because you easily hide in the crowd. I guess it could be weird seeing a white cook in that location but I find it stupid they can blow your cook disguise.
Yes yes, the disguise system is flawed and needs to be scaled for different situations. Killing every single person in a level as stealthily as possible is very fun. I had a good time doing it on the Blackwater levels in contracts.
Yeah, it's a bit annoying sometimes. You are thrown in pretty large areas but I'm afraid to properly investigate it. So I go for the most direct stealth approach sometimes missing clever kills. I really hated it when I wore a disguise that from behind made me look like dozen other guys but I still concerned few of them.

Just few plot points I found very funny. [sp]Dexter, who seems to be the owner of a huge weapon manufacturing plant, gets the hold of Victoria and wants 10 millions for her. I wonder if he gets this excited after each successful weapon contract, because in his line of work I very much doubt that's a lot of money. I also doubt the Agency wouldn't find few millions somewhere but maybe they are in a bad shape after Diana's betrayal. Their little attack on Hope wasn't exactly subtle but I think it was an interesting way to put 47 in warzone area.[/sp]
I just finished the game and I'm pretty sure this is a prequel to blood money, they've played around with the chronology before. Supporting facts: [sp]Diana is not dead and welcome's 47 back on the job[/sp], no sign of the unknown chinese place seen in Blood Money's ending, newspaper clippings in Tailor Tom's cellar are about a theme park accident that's the reason for the first hit in Blood Money, there are also clippings about other targets in Blood Money but no mention of them being dead.
Except that IO confirmed Absolution is definitely after Blood Money. [editline]26th December 2012[/editline] Creative thinking though, A+ gold star.

Which was you know, Requiem?
Yeah, that's true. He does mention Diana [sp]saved his life which happened in Blood Money[/sp]. But I liked your idea. Maybe I missed something but didn't 47 [sp]"quit" the agency after Blood Money? I remember Diana saying he went off the grid.[/sp] Which doesn't connect well with the opening of Absolution. Also that popped collar suit in Absolution has to be an unlockable.

For whatever reason when I try to play the Hitman absolution and only when I play it, I can't get far because my monitor goes into power save mode and the sound hangs, then it tells me there is no signal from my pc. Just bought the damn thing too :suicide:
game runs like shit when it's trying to load missions but other than that I love the game! so much better with the cinematic experience and actually giving 47 some real personality.

I assumed it was my GPU overheating, as I don't seem to have the issue on low. I'm rockin' a 5770, so nothing particularly fancy.
