Why didn't I get 'SUIT ONLY' when I beat an entire level without taking any disguises? [editline]30th December 2012[/editline] Also, why does Being Spotted matters if I knocked the witness out cold right there and then? I mean the penalty sticks. It's incredibly frustrating.
If you just knocked him out he could describe you to the police but you're right if you kill him.

And I'm sure the penalty would stick even if I killed the witness. For example when you "run from cops" I made it entire through without taking any suit. But in the end, at the scoreboard thingy, no SUIT ONLY for me :( [editline]30th December 2012[/editline] Also, I can't take a suit, do what's necessary, then switch back, and move on? [editline]30th December 2012[/editline] Meh, in the end I think Hitman Absolution is just just good enough of an assassin simulator
Almost finished the game, and I love it. But tell me: what are the criterias for Silent Assassin? In the beginning I got it for killing without getting spotted and without leaving bodies in the open, but now I can't get it anymore. Do I have to leave everyone but the target alive?

Do I have to leave everyone but the target alive?
I think that is the Countdown chapter, where the highest you can score is Shadow or Professional, for some unexplained reason, even if you didn't get spotted and hid the bodies of guards and garroted the target. My guess is, that it might be caused by the level cutting away to a cutscene before you could possibly dump the target's body.
But it's also in Blackwater Park, and other missions before Countdown.
In my experience to get silent assassin bonus you have to kill only your target(s) unseen. I'm not sure if you have to hide the body. For weapons I used accidents, signature kills and fiber wire. Also there are 2 suits in Attack of the Saints. The robe and right at the start you can get your normal suit, both work as THE suit. In this game to get suit only you must beat the whole level without using any disguises. Changing back to it doesn't count. Also I'm in the middle of getting Angel of Death part 2. Well in 2/3 of it. You can use any disguise you want and you indeed have to kill all agency troops in the levels unseen. Here's the good part, the challenge saves each section so you don't have to restart the whole mission. It's actually not as hard as I thought but I have to thank guide video for few great tricks. The last level is the longest because there are 30+ soldiers you need to take down and I fucked up by pressing Q too early. But compared the two previous ones, the cornfield is a piece of cake. For Blackwater Park there are many ways to kill her, not just the panic room.
For Blackwater Park there are many ways to kill her, not just the panic room.
Well of course. Anyway, I thought Silent Assassin looked at your score, so if you strangled a guy and hid his body, your score went to 0, and you hadn't lost your chance to get silent assassin. Now that I reconsider that, I can see that's not how it works...
Absolution is such a massive disappointment. Why are the levels so small and linear? Who the fuck thought creating checkpoints was a good idea? Why are the already pretty small levels divided up into several sections?
I wouldn't call it a massive disappointment. Most of the levels aren't as big as in Blood Money, but the true core of Hitman is still there.
This looks awkward
A bif fat ass, do you think you could, please, make a mod that replaces some other disguise with the outfit you wear in the Hope missions? One with dark grey jacket, white shirt and no tie.
anyone got any nice screens of hitman absolution maxed out?
A bif fat ass, do you think you could, please, make a mod that replaces some other disguise with the outfit you wear in the Hope missions? I made it replace the Blood Money bird disguise. Backups included again in case you want the bird back, just take the '-Copy' out and delete the modded files. [t]http://uppix.net/6/5/e/7b94ffcc4f12aeba175829237ef61.jpg[/t] I think I might look into programming to see if I can make an application that has a nice interface so you can replace disguises yourself with whatever you want. [editline]31st December 2012[/editline] Nevermind I do not know how to code, but I assume it would be easy considering it's just copying and renaming files with a UI.
Just picked up Absolution, Christ, it is ridiculously easy to get Silent Assassin on the 2nd level.
did someone make a list of the most dyamic and non linear levels in the game? or is there just a definitive list out there of all the wide open levels? contracts would be cooler if we had more options. at least let us take more than one weapon, possibly make explosives a weapon, if they aren't already.. and modifying where you start in the level as well could have been done AT LEAST
Missions with bigger environments in my opinion are: mission 2: King of Chinatown mission 5: Chinese new year (same map just bigger with more targets) mission 9: Shaving Lenny mission 18: Blackwater Park These have clear big area to explore and you have to assassinate someone. There are also few big beautiful levels but their objective is to get from point A to point B. Lastly there are medium sized levels with targets but they usually have as many kill options as the big ones.
i thought king of chinatown was weak.
Well, truth is it's the level that is supposed to teach you how to use accidents.

Nvm I don't think that's a silverballer actually. :v:
Is that a custom silverballer too?
that's the deus ex human revolution pistol
Yeah looked a little closer and noticed that. I might actually buy some of the dlc saying some of it is on sale.
In Absolution, can you get SA on levels where you never get to actually assassin anyone? Because I did the Terminus hotel level without even touching a soul, just picking up disguises laying around and stuff. and the only negative points i got was -1500 from being "spotted".
As far as I know SA can only be rewarded on assassination missions. On the others I think the best is Shadow and for that you need to collect evidence (and probably no deaths/spotted).
Spoiler about the end of part II: [sp]As you walk from the church, Hope burning in the background, Ave Maria plays. This seems like a reference to the final mission of Blood Money, where he kills the entire chapel. Do you think he had to massacre the church, now that they had seen him kill a man? It would fit the Hitman story, the whole thing about him being totally unknown, and it would be a very nice and subtle hint at what he had done. It would be no fun playing a mission where you have to slaughter civilians, and it would have sparked an outrage if they had shown him do it. So I think it's a really nice little touch. [/sp] What do you guys think?
Hard to say. Blood Money 47 would do it in a heart beat. Absolution makes him a bit more human so I don't think he would do that. [sp]And Skurky acted like an asshole taking a priest hostage so the witnesses might stay silent. Then again Agency was still in town so who knows if they didn't find them and killed them anyway.[/sp]
True. Maybe they left it open for interpretation, that way you can decide for yourself how cold 47 is. By the way, in the mission just after Hope, [sp]I like how they give you your fibre wire at the tailor. That way you can decide how hard 47 is on his no witnesses policy. I left him alive, though, he seemed a cool guy, and he's blind, so how much damage can he do. Did anyone kill him?[/sp]
I don't think you could kill him. [editline]1st January 2013[/editline] I wish they fleshed out his character a bit more, would be interesting to see how the two got to know each other.
I wish they didn't cover up his barcode for most of the game. Then again, I guess it was to symbolize his desire to be 'free' in a way.

Also 47 knows him personally so why would he?[/sp]
